Can You Believe This? by Etinoh(m): 9:05am On Mar 24, 2010 |
My friend says i should watch out that England defenders dosn't give Rooney harh marking when ever they play against hin.meaning that they don't want 2 loose him in the world cup.is that true? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Kgdavid(m): 11:26pm On Mar 25, 2010 |
bullshit. the top english defenders would be Terry and Ferdinand Ferdinand plays for the same team as united so that is rubbish, Terry has played rooney only once this season and everyone saw how tight both defenses were in that game. which defenders was your friend referring to? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by hollandis(f): 5:16am On Mar 26, 2010 |
Etinoh: Premiership is an overhyped league, and most of the goal scored are fluke goals.Rooney is not so fantastic, and i know the F.A must have a serious penalty for erring defenders who cant think of anything other than hacking an attacker down. Can rooney survive in the spanish or italian league?NO I respect players like Eto ,Bellamy,Tevez, for their non fluke goals.Another guy is Messi, the defenders give him too much space to operate, well until that thread is open i dont want to give BARCA fans headache,i know MANU fans hate me for saying this truth.BUT LEMME TELL YOU SOMETHING,I HATE MAN U AND MESSI BUT I LOVE BARCA |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Kgdavid(m): 4:11pm On Mar 29, 2010 |
your last line says it all really. your post is devoid of facts from a-z. rooney cant play inthe italian league yet he has scored against as roma, inter milan and ac milan. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by bigfather(m): 12:18pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
Kgdavid: Scoring against them is another ball game entirely. The question is can ROONEY leave EPL ? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Kgdavid(m): 1:45pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
can he? why not? should he? probably not. ur an english star playing at an english club, adored by english fans, being paid good money and playin in one of the best leagues in the world. would you leave? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by bigfather(m): 1:53pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
Kgdavid: What if he sees a better offer ? Am sure he won't leave ! |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Krayola(m): 2:39pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
It is true. English defenders are soft. They don't want to lost their only hope of making the quarter finals of the world cup. He should come and try that nonsense in Espana. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Kgdavid(m): 3:19pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
english defenders are soft? you cannot have ever watched the english league! that is one league where beasts are given shirts with numbers and sent out on a pitch! fernando torres even made the complaint that english defenders are too physical so wats that about? wat is soft about terry, ferdinand, cole, brown, upson, lescott, jagielka, cahill, carragher and the others? the list goes on! these guys are all hard to the core! but forget about brittish defenders and lets look at the foreign nationals in the premier league, vidic, carvalho, agger, gallas, bassong, vermaelen and many others, these are all top defenders playing in the english league. in fact pique left the united bench to go and become a star in barca immediately! y? cuz the other defenders in that league are piss poor |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Kgdavid(m): 3:20pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
big father: what better offer could he possibly get? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by kaypumpin2(m): 3:29pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
Krayola:Kray,u dey joke right? When your Spanish league can boast of an Eduardo and a Ramsey please get back. Sometimes,i wonder what end some of us are trying to get to with your fickle analysis and comparison. The same Rooney some are arguing can't cope against Serie defenders tore AC Milan defenders a new one some weeks back. Messi with all his exploits in La liga can only look back at a goal against English oppositions in ten tries. But does that indicate a certain form of blot in his career?NO |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Sauron1: 6:21pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
Krayola: U said the same about Cristiano Ronaldo before he joined La Liga and guess what? He's scored 24 goals in 26 appearances. Then we have Premiership rejects like Ruud and Diego Forlan winning the Pichichi in La Liga easily. Reserve players like Guiseppe Rossi became instant cult heroes in Spain. . . . If Rooney moves to La Liga, he will be scoring 40 goals per season EASILY. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by dayokanu(m): 6:39pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
When Torres who was a mediocre player in La Liga became an instant hit in the soft EPL |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Sauron1: 6:41pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
dayokanu: Did he win the golden boot in the EPL in his debut season? Has Torres ever won the EPL golden boot since he arrived? In the last 5 seasons in La Liga, EPL rejects have won 3 Pichichi awards. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by tkb417(m): 6:43pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
dayokanu:and the spanish national team included a mediocre player in their team and moreso, athletico madrid made a mediocre their captain as a teenager ure brilliant sir |
Re: Can You Believe This? by tkb417(m): 6:45pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
big father:Can Messi leave La Liga? to where? bundesliga or serie A? what kinda question are u asking? he shd leave one of the best clubs to go where? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Sauron1: 6:48pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
tkb417: U dey mind them? Rooney should leave the best league in Europe and join journeymen like Messi & Ronaldo who left their hometown at a tender age to seek greener pastures elsewhere? Rooney was born in a country of green pastures. He will not leave Canaan(land of milk & honey) for Rwanda(land of sweats and blood). |
Re: Can You Believe This? by chic2pimp(m): 6:59pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
Kgdavid:Or Better Still what makes those players hard? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Sauron1: 7:02pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
Kgdavid: Pique was an ordinary apprentice in Man Utd. . . . .He left for Barca and he became a world class player in La Liga. On that evidence alone, Titus Bramble will be a star in La Liga. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by dayokanu(m): 7:04pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
Roque Santa cruz a 5 goal per season striker hit 19 in his first season in the EPL |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Sauron1: 7:11pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
dayokanu: That's 10% of the story. That same season, Santa Cruz was outscored by Ronaldo(midfielder), Torres and a mediocre Adebayor, If Santa Cruz was dope. . . .He should be winning the EPL golden boot in his debut season. Matter of fact, Ronaldo scored 12 league goals more than Santa Cruz. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by honeric01(m): 7:35pm On Mar 30, 2010 |
I am still waiting for Ronaldo to win the pichinchi in la liga before i speak my mind, i am eagerly waiting oo. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Kgdavid(m): 12:35am On Mar 31, 2010 |
santa cruz has suffered so many injury problems prior to his time in the premier league. chic2pimp: don't you watch the premier league? every one of those players with the arguable exclusion of rio ferdinand is a hard man. what makes em hard? the way they go in for tackles and headers and are generally ready to get dirty. i have never seen an english defender afraid to commit to a robust challenge. dayokanu: you lose all credibilty when you make a statement like this. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by eldee(m): 2:39am On Mar 31, 2010 |
You get a red card to touching Messi in the La Liga. Just see the first goal against Zaragoza . . . this is not a mistake, this is fear!!! [flash=450,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rK6vyUQ6kQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&[/flash] |

~Sauron~: E be like say you nor sabi wetin you dey yarn o ! Abeg who be the highest paid footballer in the world now ? tkb417: And what is wrong in going to those places mentioned ? The question is,will he be able to survive there ? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by Kgdavid(m): 1:10pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
after the first ten minutes yesterday where did messi disappear to? it was amusing how clichy and song shackled him properly without the use of excessive force. look at how abyssmal barca's defense was? they were saved by the fact that their midfield held on to the ball more and did not allow arsenal into the game till late in the second half. |
Re: Can You Believe This? by dayokanu(m): 3:14pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
Did you see how Barcelona disgraced Arsenal and their possesion football yesterday? So which is better La Liga or EPL |
Re: Can You Believe This? by eldee(m): 3:24pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
dayokanu: Yeah right . . . they scored two goals with the Bolton style. Kgdavid: He was substituted early . . . a pub team star wearing number 10 came on for him |
Re: Can You Believe This? by tkb417(m): 3:30pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
big father:nothing is wrong in playing in Uzbekistan too as for Rooney, hes in the biggest club in the world so no need to move to inferior legues |
Re: Can You Believe This? by dayokanu(m): 3:34pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
nothing is wrong in playing in Uzbekistan too Biggest club in the world in terms of what? The same club that couldnt get a touch on the ball in Rome? |
Re: Can You Believe This? by tkb417(m): 3:43pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
dayokanu:by your defination, the biggest club must win all matches and cannot be outplayed Real madrid has been losing to Lyon for years Once upon a time, a UCL final was played and AC beat Barca 4-0 last year, Barca thrashed Bayern by gazzillion goals this year, the aggregate between UTD and AC was 7-2 what about Marseille beating an AC in a UCL final? so what is it with losing to Barca in rome? one team must lose |
Re: Can You Believe This? by chic2pimp(m): 4:08pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
Kgdavid:Berra take off your rose tinted glasses. I bet you forgot how piss poor A$$nal's defence and Midfield were, right? Xavi gave y'all a masterclass, the same way Redondo gave the the scumbags a masterclass in 2000. Kgdavid:Where are the Hardmen? . Bar Vidic and May be Carragher(in his prime), they are all wussies. If you want the proper definition of Hardmen, check out Serie A in the 1990's and early 2000's. |
