I belive igbo men and women making their millions in Lagos don't even have the strength and stress to come around making bloody stupid arguments about if Lagos belongs to Yoruba or not. As far as am concerned this is a stupid thread.

The Benin's migrated from Ife....who are the Ife's? Too bad, Buhari destroys history that the yoots are living in the lapses of memory. Infact Yoruba own Benin if you check history
Anybody who wants to learn history have an avalanche of Literature to read. But No, Nigerians love bickering over irrelevancies.

Saying Lagos is "No man's land" does not in anyway means we are neglecting the East/Homeland. The idea is to maximize the benefit of Lagos to develop the East.

We must not lose sight of our contributions in Lagos, yet we must capitalize on the gains of those contribution to develop our homeland. We can't just pack up and leave Lagos, nor can anyone run us out of our investments in the growth Lagos. That's why we say "Lagos is No Man's Land." And that's what it will remain in the foreseeable future if Nigeria continue to exist as it is now!

If you igbos like keep calling lagos a no man's land, infact you can even call it a chinese or japanese land, we yorubas don't care because of the reality on ground. The micsonceptions and delusions of few among you concerning lagos ownership can not change the fact that lagos belongs to yorubas.

Lagos is a Youruba land but the Igbos are gradually buying it over.

The problem you Igbos have is that you don't think far.

When you buy land in Lagos, the best title you can get is a Certificate of Occupancy. The maximum term of a CofO is 99 years. You think you're buying up Lagos but you're just certified tenants.

99 Years from now, our children would hear of how you all wished us evil and may decide not to renew your glorified tenancies.

Guess who brought about this idea? A Yoruba man called Olu Obasanjo. He did this through the Land Use Act in 1978.

The moves of the Yorubas would take you 25 years to decipher and another 25 years to decode.

I don't just know why we like chasing shadows in this country. We leave important matters and keep dwelling on things that are irrelevant.
Has the statement, "Lagos is no man's land" changed the reality about Lagos?
Somebody just made a statement that is irrelevant and the people are disturbing themselves over it. Na waa ooo

Because the Eeediot that posted this thread is NOT an Igbo person. He is a Yoruba man who can not handle the "Lagos, no man's land" issue. He is scared that the Yoruba's are losing Lagos.

Igbos will and should invest where ever they are comfortable. Go to many Igbo villages, you will see mansions that nobody lives in. Igbos are building mansions in their villages that are nothing more than vacation houses or funeral homes. Because most will only come there permanently when they are dead.
I know many Igbo men in their 70s still living comfortably in their houses in Lagos.

My people lets stop saying this nonsense. Orji Kalu started this rubbish - as a political plow to distract from his abysmal failure in Abia state. If you like say this thing a million times - It does not change the reality that Yorubas run Lagos. Have you lived in Lagos? I lived there for many years, so I know what I am talking about.

We need to stop all this nonsense and concentrate on building and developing the SE. All this time we have been shouting Lagos is no man's land where has it gotten us? Biko lets buy sense! If we concentrate our efforts and divert more of our resources back home, with 2 decades the SE will become the envy of not just other regions but of the entire African continent.

Mods, Please take this to front page so I can have this discussion with my brothers and sisters. Thank you.
Don't pretend to be Igbo, the fact that you can't even spell it has given you away. Why are you people so obsessed with Igbo? Did we stop you from collecting Owoda at every bus stop? Did we stop you from collecting Owo Omonile at every construction site? Did we stop you from collecting Owo Iyaloja at every market? Continue with your destiny, while we do our legitimate businesses peacefully. Thank you.

Lagos is a no man's land and the narrative is simple............. The yoruba may more in number but the no man-ness of Lagos is economically based.........

Every Nigerian contributed/is contributing to the growth of Lagos, the federal government used/uses money gotten from all over the country to build Lagos the more, all ethnic group in Nigeria are scampering to Lagos in other to gain back their resources used by FG to build Lagos, Thus making Lagos A NO MANS LAND.......... If e vex una ask federal government to construct federal roads, ports and airports in other region just like it's in Lagos..............

Lagos = NO MANS LAND

The port and most roads were built by England before forming nigeria...

Mad illiterate. No wonder you call it no man's land.

Now I understand your problem
