I belive igbo men and women making their millions in Lagos don't even have the strength and stress to come around making bloody stupid arguments about if Lagos belongs to Yoruba or not. As far as am concerned this is a stupid thread. 2 Likes |

Saying Lagos is "No man's land" does not in anyway means we are neglecting the East/Homeland. The idea is to maximize the benefit of Lagos to develop the East. We must not lose sight of our contributions in Lagos, yet we must capitalize on the gains of those contribution to develop our homeland. We can't just pack up and leave Lagos, nor can anyone run us out of our investments in the growth Lagos. That's why we say "Lagos is No Man's Land." And that's what it will remain in the foreseeable future if Nigeria continue to exist as it is now! 6 Likes 1 Share |

niceprof: The problem you Igbos have is that you don't think far. When you buy land in Lagos, the best title you can get is a Certificate of Occupancy. The maximum term of a CofO is 99 years. You think you're buying up Lagos but you're just certified tenants. 99 Years from now, our children would hear of how you all wished us evil and may decide not to renew your glorified tenancies. Guess who brought about this idea? A Yoruba man called Olu Obasanjo. He did this through the Land Use Act in 1978. The moves of the Yorubas would take you 25 years to decipher and another 25 years to decode. 24 Likes 2 Shares |

Saintp: Because the Eeediot that posted this thread is NOT an Igbo person. He is a Yoruba man who can not handle the "Lagos, no man's land" issue. He is scared that the Yoruba's are losing Lagos. Igbos will and should invest where ever they are comfortable. Go to many Igbo villages, you will see mansions that nobody lives in. Igbos are building mansions in their villages that are nothing more than vacation houses or funeral homes. Because most will only come there permanently when they are dead. I know many Igbo men in their 70s still living comfortably in their houses in Lagos. 7 Likes |

GodIsBiafran:Don't pretend to be Igbo, the fact that you can't even spell it has given you away. Why are you people so obsessed with Igbo? Did we stop you from collecting Owoda at every bus stop? Did we stop you from collecting Owo Omonile at every construction site? Did we stop you from collecting Owo Iyaloja at every market? Continue with your destiny, while we do our legitimate businesses peacefully. Thank you. 8 Likes |
