I am not surprised by this post. Low-life, envious and incomplete igbos of wawa and adada descent are always bitter when anambra people assert our dominance and uncowardly opinion on issues affecting ndi Igbo. We all heard the recent foolish statement by another bitter and jealous wawa mgbeke skull in the person of Osita Okechukwu of VON concerning APGA's victory in Anambra, even though other APC chieftains of Anambra origin have congratulated Obiano for his well-deserved landslide victory and moved on. 3 Likes |

i think the governor looked stupid for uttering such, to be a mega city you just have to accommodate and thats what the yoruba'a have done...when fashola returned some destitutes back to the east they were playing the victims card but its so obvious they are annoying, some are opportunists and just dance to the beat from their pliticians 4 Likes |

@ Amarabae for the fact that you are diplomatic with your response atimes, I would give my stance on your leader reckless statement. Obiano just displayed what is in the mind of average Igbo people and that doesn't mean we don't have the liberal and respected ones among your kinsmen. Question of whom own Lagos is a thing that have generated heated argument of recent and claiming them (Anambrans) made what Lagos is today shows the chestbeating has gained another level of stupidity. Igbos are not the only tribe in Lagos contributing to the growth of states. Infact most of the IGR generated are from industries such as FMCG, IT, Telecommunication, Banking, Oil&Gas, etc not from the 2x2 shop traders. I see some of your clans posting pictures of nestoil at Akin Adesola as if it is the only skyscraper building in that route and it beats my imagination that at this 21st century, some people view is still in archaic era. Yoruba are not known to be boasting. It's an insult to be posting pictures hence showing shameless competition when other part of the world are thinking of the next technological line. Mike Adenuga towers (Bull House) dey 4 Adeola Odeku, we no make noise. GTB towers dey for Akin Adesola, we no make noise, Churchgate building ( a serene view from Law school bridge) dey, we no make noise, just too many to mention. Even the nestoil, the major shareholder na GTB. History have highlighted the original owners of Lagos whom are the Aworis, Egbas and Ijebus. Bini surfaced due to conquering some part of it through war but was reclaimed back by the yorubas. Before 19th century, Lagos has been the hub of the country due to its strategic location. The portuguese and English people were the 1st to make the city what it is today while the industrial revolution of Awolowo made Lagos as the most industrial state before Ogun state display it of recent. For ogun state, can we say it is the effort of Anambrans again? When someone have a strong economic plan, investors would naturally flow into your region. It takes brain to attract both Local and foreign investors in a state aside port accessibility which can be tax system, FDI, etc. Igbos should note that Yorubas remains the only tribe who did not touch their property after the civil war. Everything was intact yet they have display ungrateful attitude towards those who were kind to them. TheCabal: And you believed his statement that the Igbo man bought a whole sky scrapper? The guy only bought a floor ( in the building) in lieu of years of agreement before it becomes his. I am not saying they can't but they are known to exaggerate things. Those who have purchased a sky scrapper which is still under construction are dangote, Adenuga and Alakija ( Pearls tower). 22 Likes 6 Shares |

laudate: You self, are not being truthful to truth and logic. The development of lagos may or may not started with the colonial government or Igbos, but you can agree with me that the contemporary social-economic dynamism of lagos as we know it today is a function of huge influx into lagos of Igbo merchants, importers, traders, and others as a result of well orchestrated and crafted policies of age long marginalization of the region by denying them critical infrastructural projects/sea port/international airport/ non federal government presence and projects, spear-headed by a Yoruba man Obasango right after the civil war. |

Amarabae The fact that well known Igbo-hating bigots are agreeing with your post is very telling. It’s not in our culture to ‘air our dirty laundry’ in public. There are other channels that you could use to spread this message, not on this Igbo hate-filled site. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Amarabae: Sorry madam, we the Igbos are tired of Yoruba BS. If their own Oba can be bold enough to tell dem that Lagos is not Yoruba land, then wat are u criticising Obiano over. Obiano is Anambra state gov, his focus is on Anambra state indigence. It is a well known fact and open secret that Lagos was developed by the people of the East with our human and capital resources. Further, Ndiigbo are not known to pretend but to openly speak their mind and the truth regardless of whose ox is gored. 1 Like |

Amarabae we are not known for something like this. Look at how you have generalised Igbos (as if we are salivating over Lagos) just because of few rants on nairaland. How many Igbos have you met offline laying claim to Lagos or its development ? what is the difference between what El rufai said about Igbos owning 70% of landed properties in Abuja and Obiano's assertion of which you know his main point is geared towards Igbos bringing their investment home. This is not something to make a thread for or maybe i'd say its a hate for Obiano taken further. 1 Like |
