Graphic marketplace like envato?? I have no idea about those places. Do you have any idea please? Like don’t sellers pay before one could start selling??
Yeah, like envanto, creativefabrica... I don’t know if they pay, but I’m not sure they do. I think the market place have a fixed percentage for each sales..

But if they do pay, it’s a good investment

I had to read all the way from the beginning.

Thanks for the initiative: updating us with your progress. I ventured into the design world myself sometimes around March. Being a teacher, the pandemic taught me forcefully that it pays to have a secondary source of income.

In my graphics design journey, I had the unlikeliest start grin. I started out designing Bible quotes for my church using canva, then a friend introduced me to pixellab which I enjoyed for some months, but after a while, I couldn't help this feeling within me that there's a lot more.

Long story cut short, I began using photoshop less than two months ago, and I can attest to the fact that watching videos can go a long way especially if you have passion for graphic design.

I downloaded one video that lasted for about 4hrs, and it was about how to do this and that and that... I still refer to it every now and then sha.

Going through your post is nothing short of an encouragement for someone like me who just started out. I think 'dípò' s diary' should be birthed out of this grin. I think it helped me see that if I consistently continue, I can be very good at what I'm doing.

Having lived in Alagbado around moshalashi bus stop - idiagbon Street to be precise, for over 8 years before 2012, I'm very sure I know Segun Adetiba Street, but I just can't place it.

Lemme end by saying, "Thank you."

Hmmm this means a lot
Thank you so much Sir. Consistency is key. A mantra I’m not so following rn l, words Like these sets one back on track. I stay around kola btw but I’m curious, where did you see segun adetiba street on this thread? Incase you finally create that thread or any thread on your progress, do tag me so I can follow. As for photoshop, I’m sure, since you clearly stated you’re a teacher, you understand that practice makes one perfect. Practice the things in the videos. So many free resource everywhere. Get acquainted and you’d create magic.

Thank you sir for this. I’m grateful.

Wow! Kola... That was one of my routes that year o smiley
About Segun Adetiba, You did post your church flier remember? grin
Don't worry, should I choose to write my own diary, I'll let you know sir. It's not a bad idea at all. Thanks.

Do you do gigs on fiverr?

If you don't already, I think you should work towards it.

As much as I love graphics design, I still want to make money out of it... So, fiverr and other sites are part of my end game.

Hey everyone, happy new year. This is going to be my first post in the new year. Lol, I post on other platforms though, especially Behance Buh I don’t know why I feel reluctant posting here. Guess it has to do with the professionalism. Well, I have a job as a graphic designer now at a digital marketing agency. A 9-5. Not much but it’s a start. This year, there’s going to be a lot of growing and capacity multiplication. I plan to make enough noise this year. So help me God.
Here are some designs I did for a client of mine. Surely, if you’re interested in the training, please do reach out to the numbers on the eflier. I can promise you, you’re in the best of hands.
Till next time when I drop here.
Adios

Asides eflier designs, I’m also an illustrator. I’m sure if you’ve gone through my designs, you’d know I was first an illustrator. Lol.
Some characters I designed.

I’m looking at animating them in coming weeks.
Fingers crossed.
