Ebere Nzeworji, Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha on Electronic Media, has revealed the cost of each of the statues of some African leaders erected in the state capital, Owerri.
According to him, each of statues cost between N400,000 and N500,000.

He was reacting to reports that N520 million was spent on each.

The Governor’s aide spoke in an interview with Peoples’ Voice at Darlying FM in Owerri.
The official said “it was not true that millions were spent on erecting statue.”

He, however, disclosed that government had taken delivery of new equipment for its Specialist Hospital and that 21 doctors were currently in the facility to deliver healthcare service to residents.
