Suppose the curtain of your life be drawn now and you have to stand before your Creator even now; will you spend eternity?
Suppose your next blink of eye land you on the shore of eternity; where would you spend eternity?
The Holy Bible says "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27). This means there's no 2nd chance as some people have errorneously belived &/taught. HEAVEN IS REAL! HELL IS REAL LIKEWISE! Immediately a man(man/woman) dies, he/she becomes aware & certain of his eternal destination within a maximum of 30seconds from his last breath.
Consequent to the above reality, the Lord ask is asking you a question - "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? " (Matthew 16:26). My sinner friend, what shall you give in exchange for your soul? You need to understand, that your soul will live for all eternity! When a man dies, the body in buried in a grave which eventually will decompose and perish with the ground but, his spirit returns back to God his maker. "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7).
Do you know you will outlived the sun? Your will will continue to live either in heaven or in hell. "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:10). Brothers/sisters, you need to prepare for your soul because it's precious & hell is real. Some people are so deluded to think that because the Scripture described God as a God of love, therefore how could he destroy man in hell. They've forgotten that, that same God of love rained down brimstone & sulphur and wind up Sodom & Gomorrah in those days. Read Gen. 19:24-28.
Now listen, if God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah because they sinned against Him, in ignoring His call to salvation and holy living, so also in like manner will he destroy you & I if we fail to walk in his will but recalcitrantly following the dictates of the flesh. Repent therefore to avert the impending wrath of God over your soul. This because "God is of purer eyes than to behold iniquity" (Habakkuk 1:13a).; "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die." (Ezekiel 18:4). and "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23).
THE WAY OUT
Repent of your sins by acknowledging & confessing them before God, then forsake & make up your mind resolutely never to go back to them anymore. Then invite Jesus into you life to be your Saviour. "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. " (John 3:16). "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. " (John 3:3). ALSO REMEMBER TO PRAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS AS ANY PRAYER PRAYED WITHOUT THE NAME OF JESUS WILL NOT BE ANSWERED BECAUSE IN HIM/THROUGH HIM ONLY IS THE POWER TO SAVE. For emphasis see "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. " (John 14:6)."That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10-11).
