My friend was being held a prisoner in his own home. He couldn’t leave the house in the sense that it was an ongoing thing; the abuse went on for a while. For me there is a difference between love and when somebody is being obsessive. People tend not to understand the difference between love and obsession. It wasn’t the best marriage and I believe either of them could have just walked away. It’s easier to sit down in that sorrow and think you can change things, or that if I can’t have him, no one will. I don’t consider it love. I can’t speak on his behalf. I can’t speak on his personal issue, he is a good friend and he is gone. He was that one guy that the minute we step out, we will be like, it is time for you to go home, your wife is about to call, after hanging out for as little as an hour or even 30 minutes. Even in the afternoon because she always calls. So we formed the habit of going to see him at home.

Showing a woman too much love and allowing her to impose her own self-centred ideals on you is NEVER a good idea. Instead, you MUST make her accept your own lax standards that gives you enough room to meander as a normal African man.

If any one has to be the control freak, then it has to be you as a man. It must be your way or the highway. I always shake my head in pity when I see men begging and holding on to a stupid relationship or marriage where the woman always wants to dominate or have her way. That's foolishness. If its not my way from the beginning, we wouldn't even last for 1 day together. Go and find another mumu guy to dance to your tunes, not me.

A man has to be firm and negotiate his freedom to be a 'man' very early on in the relationship. Let her know that you're a 'good bad guy' in some way. Let her know that you hang out a lot sometimes even very late into the night. Let her know that your freedom cannot be restricted or questioned by her. Let her be accustomed to certain peccadilos on your part, for which you must not be apologetic. Give her a 'take it or leave it' scenario, regardless of how much you think you love her.

If she accepts you for who you are, then you are almost certain to live in peace and have an enduring marriage.

Problems always arise when you begin the relationship by forming too much goody goody nice guy that does her bidding and does not stay out late and does not look at other women at all at all. When you later try to change after marriage, she will resist that, and problems would arise.

Truly truly, good guys get the worst deal in relationships and marriages. Bad guys don't experience this kind of bullshit.

Sometimes, I wonder when things like this Happen what the wife will say to the Child in the future......Like....

I was surprised to find out she studied abroad and more pathetic to find out that she was never refined by her former environment.

Things are getting even worse abroad, we have watched with horror as people who grew up abroad, have entered shopping mall to shoot people indiscriminately , we have watched people enter trucks and just knock down people over... Why would she be remorseful when her fellow husband murderer in oyo state got a paltry 7 years jail sentence for killing her own husband in cold blood. That fraudulent judgement must have given her hope that she will be out of prison withing 4 years. Rubbish justice system.

*I've seen a child pour kerosine on an almost dead cockroach and set to lit it on fire.When I inquire why the extreme measure especially when you can still kill it with a slippers just by the corner, the child response was,"I want it to die very well".It's not normal. Cruelty in children should be watched closely. I've seen many of them hack helpless birds to death.

Many quiet individual are mad,but you and I may not know it.They may be fighting several demons within. Its difficult to know the level of madness quiet people possess. That's why I really don't Like quiet people especially females.I met my wife as a loquacious woman, I hated that.I would rebuke her for being too down to earth, by talking way too much.As a Pisces that she is,I never knew my actions will become counterproductive.NOW, she has managed to stop being open.I guess she was building the new character over the years.Now,every time we quarrel, I don't know if I should go crazy or not.She will stare at the wall for hours while I rant.I will go do other chores,come back to the room,yet!she will be sitter at that same position, unmoved,eyes transfixed.And tgen she starts cleaning the house,making everywhere spotlessly clean.Without exxageratting she can do this from as early as 9am to evening,moving heavy machinerues,fixing bulbs,re-arranging and relocating household stuffs,cleaning fans,alk these chores without as much as a 5,minutes rest!Jesus!And then she will withdraw for as long as she can be able to be happy again.Now I'm begging her to be loquacious again,guess its too late?Now,I'm doing all I can to be more talkative, loving and engaging.

The male "youth pastor" that killed his wife was tagged "evil," "wicked," "devilish"...etc. Now that it's a female involved she's "bipolar," suffering from "PTSD," "mentally ill"...etc.

The other day they gave a woman 7 years for killing her husband. Her Defense Counsel even had the guts to argue that a lengthy sentence will jeopardize her profession as a lawyer. If it was a guy who killed his wife, the entire story would've radically changed. I heard no remarks on that.

Bi polar disorder (manic depression) and depression leads to suicide or murder-suicide (kill their family then they kill themselves)... it does NOT lead to homicide with intent and then cover up... please she was in a fit a rage and stabbed the husband.

Armed robbers, Kidnappers and drug dealers kill even when the victim is at their mercy... so they are all mentally unstable (sick)... right?
