Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Senate President, has been made Rotary Club's Outstanding Citizen of the World 2017.



Rotary International, Enugu City Centre Rotary District 9142, made this known at a briefing in Enugu, yesterday.

Prince Okezie Nwanjoku, District President, said the award will be bestowed on Ekweremadu on December 2.

Okezie said 150 people were shortlisted across the globe for the award, explaining that after intense study, the senator turned out perfect for the award.

He remembered that business giant, Prince Arthur Eze, won the award in 2015, explaining that candidates nominated for 2016 were voted by members of the committee which no nominee was perfect for the award.
