Datally is a new app launched by Google that lets you understand, control and save mobile data.

According to a blog post by Google, Caesar Sengupta, Vice President of the Next Billion Users initiative at Google, shared that the company had been testing Datally in the Philippines for the past few months allowing people to save up to 30 percent on their data. So today Datally globally available on the Google Play Store for all phones running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and higher.

This app helps you see your data usage on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis and get customized recommendations on how you can save more.Turn on the Data Saver bubble to block background data usage and track real-time data usage while utilizing each of your applications - it like a speedometer for your data. You can likewise block data with one tap if an application's data usage gets out of control. Datally will also let you know in case you're close open Wi-Fi and enable you to connect.
