By Niyi Busari Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has predicted playing a friendly match with Serbia before Nigeria first group match against Croatia which comes up on 16th June, 2018 at Kaliningrad stadium. He made this known immediately after the Super Eagles is drawn alongside former World Champions Argentina, Croatia and Iceland and he strongly believe that SERBIA play the same style of football with Croatia. Nigeria need to win the match to be able to get at least 6 points from the croup stage which is enough to qualify them for the next round. The second match on 22nd June 2018 at St. Petersburg stadium is not going to be easy though with a team from Northern Europe. Argentina is a very dangerous team to play any day especially with Messi, they have a very good team. We have been drawn in the same group four times before Russia 2018,and Argentines won in all the four matches winning 2-1 at US '94, 1-0 at Korea/Japan 2002, 1-0 at South Africa 2010, and 3-2 at Brazil 2014. . |
