Please I am also a self employed PPR applicant. My AOR is 3rd Nov. I have been in NA2 since 18th Nov. I want to know if the tax clearance certificate you did was with your state internal revenue service or FIRS? My business is an enterprise not a Company (i.e Limited). Contract Jobs I have done were limited to my state. I am at sea where to go for TCC before I get ADR of it from CIC. Please, help a worried Brother.

KayVann:
Dear Nairaland family,
Silent reader in the house, I just thought to share my story as I have been so inspired by the posts on this forum. My Canadian journey started in 2015 when I wanted to further my education, 3 times my study permit was declined because of the most ridiculous reasons. I started pursing express entry actively in 2016, wrote IELTS 4 times, has great scores but my writing kept reading 6.5. After my 4th attempt, I requested for a remark in which my writing score was reviewed to a 7, with that, I was able to secure ITA.
Below is my timeline
ITA 7th August
AOR 24th August
Medicals passed 3rd September
IP 1 3rd September
Na2. 9th September
Adr 6th December
Ip2 6th December
Adr submitted 14th December
PPR 12th January.
Family of 4.

My application was not perfect but God covered it, I used a fixed deposit and I applied as a business owner (partnership to be precise). I had to show proof of business with proof of work done, receipts, pictures and written notes from clients, I turned in our company account bank statement as well. The Adr was for me to provide tax clearance certificates for the companies. This is just to say, self employed have no issues with express entry as long as you can prove the legitimacy of your business.
It's been a long and excruciating journey but God gave me the grace to sail through with losing my elements, I am extremely grateful to the Almighty God.
Never give up on your dreams, with God all things are possible and he makes all things beautiful in his time. Thank you all for the information freely shared on this forum, may God reward you all with your hearts desire.

I just checked my ielts result
LWRS .. 8,7,7,6.5
This is my second attempt and I'm so discouraged . Is it advisable to as for a remark ?
I need your advices please
If your 6.5 is in speaking, you should definitely request for a remark (and perhaps register again for another exam). It's very likely they can bump that 6.5 up to 7.

Anybody?

4Barr:
Please I need someone’s input on this. I am trying to add my wife to my application – Got married Post – AOR precisely at NA2. Just got the attached mail from London VO. Who has gotten this email before, I need a confirmation on the appropriate IMM8 form being referred to as I have encountered several online. In addition they requested for two passport size photographs of my spouse, am I to mail the application to them by post? Anyone with a similar experience should kindly shed light on this process.

If I'm not mistaken, I think you need to raise a CSE for this.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

For the IMM8 form, you need to make sure what you download is from CIC's website. That's where you found multiple versions?

Raised a CSE already and also informed them via mail. This was the response i got. My concern is the request for the two passport size photograph, sounds like hard copies to me otherwise why does it have to be two?. so if it is hard copies, will i have to mail it to them as against the usual online application?

Awwww. Don't despair. I would have advised that you apply for a remark since it is for writing, but since you already stated that you wrote less than 250 words, I am not sure that is a good idea. Just brace up for another test. At least, now you know where you need to tackle. Good luck.

Let me look a bit into this your case. Meanwhile, you can download any CIC required forms at this link, including the IMM008 form.

@Mcstan18, una don check yours? Any update?
mosbiod:
yes oo .. broz @mcstan how far

My people, I waited so long for the results to be released before going in for a budget presentation. In fact, the thought of the results kept me cold all through the session so much that at a time, the CEO asked someone to put off the AC because he felt it was too cold for me. Him no know sey na IELTS result anxiety dey shake my body grin grin.

Anyway, I wrapped up a while ago and the first thing was to check the much awaited result. LRWS: 7.5,9,8,8.5. Even though this was better than the previous, 'L' somehow contrived to throw a spanner in the works yet again. By my assessment, I did pretty well in the listening test of January 6 that I expected nothing short of an 8. Well, it didn't quite happen as expected but as the saying goes, "winners never quit". I logged on to the BC site and registered for the next available test here in Lagos. Perhaps my early morning (Fast and Furious) drive to Ibadan that day might have affected my concentration levels, I can't tell. I shall be back again but with good news. There's no room for letting up

Thanks GlitteringStar and Mosbiod for checking. We go finally make am for this Canny journey

I have read cases of those who didn't have a placeholder created until they sent an email to them. I think you should inquire from them how they intend to receive these requested documents. And perhaps mention that they should create placeholders.

Quite a painful one. Fire again bro. Giving up is not even in the option list,so you can't choose that. More power to your elbows.

When did you get this mail though? You may need to give it a few days before you get instructions on how to do this in your account, or have placeholders created. Read the first 3 posts in this thread.

Would be nice if you could come update the house on how this goes just for the sake of others. smiley
