Ok. Lemme put this simply. I bet most people who develop high blood pressure will do so as a result of aggravation while driving. Soooooo just come here and share your gist - who you slapped, who slapped you recently, what's been causing you grief on our ever loving roads, what roads you love, which ones you loathe, what car you'll never buy again, ever. i mean, this thread only makes sense cos i for one spend about 20% of my day on it, trying to get to work or get home. and no you don't have to have a car. we'd love to hear danfo/molue/okada gist too. Here goes: i go to work in a staff bus so half the time i'm asleep - BAM!! ok seriously, getting to my busstop is a pain jor. Has anyone noticed how it's only when you're running late you end up with one of those slower-than-snail bikes? also, i aint pro-violence. even if someone bashes me. i do know a chic who broke someone's side view mirror in retaliation. adrenaline baby! |

Interesting topic! I think the okadas and danfo drivers need to attend such together with psychiatric tests. I have been almost slapped 2wice before by army officers on bikes while driving my car to work for almost hitting them, eventhough they were the ones who suddenly got in front of my car; first time it happened the guy broke one of my side mirrors. |

unfortunately, the incidence of the naval ratings and uzoma okere won't die down cos of one case where the plaintiff won in court. wish i could give ya a punching bag with the face of an army guy on it |

Re: Anger Management by Temi1(m): 7:43am On Apr 01, 2010 |
If not for the fact that a lot of ppl would be rendered jobless and then there will be an increase in crime rate, i think the okadas should be taken off the roads |
Re: Anger Management by Nobody: 1:12pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
^^^ u can't tell me u've never taken a bike |
Re: Anger Management by Temi1(m): 3:08pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
Ofcourse i take bikes. I just cant cope with the way those okadas behave on the roads. Even sometimes when u r on a bike ul b praying just to get to where u r goin in one piece |

its ice again get to work using d staff bus despite it being driven my an old cargo who crawls slower than a snail .its a life saver though cos it saves me from burstin veins ranting at the numerous self certified nuts populatin d roads. weekend drivin is a bit easier though.i just generally do my own thing in d face of all d madness,i no send u. okadas are a different kettle of fish.i hate them like u wont believe but d irony is since i came to d island they sometimes come to my rescue.imagine a dude flyin okada from v.i all d way to igd.dats d level of craze dt has infected poor me.still hate em though. |

As much as the okada guys are very useful in those dire times of urgency, I can never stop hating them. They are the worst thing to ever happen to the Nigerian road. Then don't forget the ever annoying danfo drivers, who stop abruptly without using the indicator light. I keep praying i don't strangle one of these crazy drivers someday. |

Lol . . . . . . Mine is road rage . . . .If i am on the highway driving, i hate when someone cut me off, if you do, even if i have to miss my exit off the highway, i will make sure i cut you off, but now i am learning to stop it, cos it is not worth it. Also, i hate when people give me finger while i am driving, if you do . . . .i will roll down my window and tell you that " i love you" But in all, driving could be fun, but let out the steam, it cld be the secrets to living longer |
Re: Anger Management by Nobody: 5:59pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
People need to learn not to make wide turns especially unto the fast lane on a highway! |
Re: Anger Management by Fhemmmy: 6:03pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
davidylan: That is another annoying thing. Also, people need to leave their rides at home when it snows, cos they forgot how to drive afterwards and bring traffic to a halt |
Re: Anger Management by Nobody: 7:37pm On Apr 01, 2010 |
hey masky!! like i read somewhere, okada guys ride like they're invisible, kekes drive like they're bikes and danfos drive like they're kekes and there's no end to the madness - let's not even go near the trailer/tanker some of us too drive nonsense. i find it's mostly hired drivers. they don't own and don't care what happens to the car. oh and mechanics (and poor you thought you were getting it fixed, only to find a shiny new dent when it's returned which he'll swear was there b4 he collected it ) |

Re: Anger Management by axeman85(m): 8:21pm On Apr 02, 2010 |
interesting, back in the days b4 i left naija for 1st times, i had terrible road rage and being a army cadet then i usually hang my camour in car, i break traffic rules anyhow, and those okada i dey flog them anyhow with koboko, there was time i was coming out of unilag gate and this bus driver just park dey load passenger out of anger and annonyance i drove my car right into the side of the danfo, damaging the entire side and damaging the door as well, and i just drove off wthout minding my own car. BUT now i have to obey traffic rules but anyokada wey drive rough for my side or keke maruwa na jamming or beating i go give them, and if my driver carry my car do runs, i go detain am, first make he suffer b4 sacking him. reason is if i go beat am the guy fit popo me or break bottle for my head so na to detain for barracks. |

Once a soldier is always a soldier . . . . . I used to envy the uniform men in Nigeria when i was growing up, i think it was the way they shakara people, or how they look . . . . . . . I am sure you still have some connection in the Military . . . . .so we will get there soon . . . . |
