The only reason for data zapping on your phone is because a lot of background applications running on your phone that drains alot of your data

The major culprit of this is the Google play store which is the number 1 application present on everybody's phone,Other culprits may include your social media accounts which also runs in background

The reason behind Google plays data zapping will be the constant update of your apps in background and the constant update of Google play store itself in background..

Let me save you the long epistle and jump to the solution

No additional application is needed for this as you will be using the data usage option in your settings



1: Go to Settings on your phone
2: Select Data Usage option
3: Select the Data connection Sims on the two sims tabs
4: Scroll down and you will see the list of your apps using background data
5: Select Google play store and any other application you want to disable
6: After Selecting it you will see the total amount of data that has been in both foreground and background
7: Scroll down and you will see the "Restict background data" tab disabled click the tab to enable it

That's all

Note: If you disable the background data of your social media applications you won't receive new notifications, as your social media applications relies on background data to fetch notification
