We all enjoyed the vibes Micheal Dapaah gave us from his viral booth video “Blaq Shaq Mans Not Hot”.. Michael Dapaah is a ghanaian born English rapper and comedian.

Michael Dapaah became a viral topic all over the internet after his radio booth with BBC Radio 1xtra earlier this year when the freestyle led to a viral clip known as “The Ting Goes” or “Mans Not Hot”.

Michael started his music career by garnering a social following for his brief comedic online skits, which he then adapted into his mockumentary series on YouTube titled SWIL (Somewhere in London) which amassed over 1 million views in its first series. He started with the name MC Quakez and now popularly known as Big Shaq.

Michael Dapaah stepped into BBC Radio 1Xtra with a friend to promote his new single titled Balance. The scene went wrong after the radio presenter Charlie Sloth was allegedly said to have disrespected Michael Dapaah. According to him, Charlie Sloth just wasn’t giving him the shot.

He later got into the booth deeply and emotionally hurt by Charlie Sloth behaviour that he had to put everything out.

Michael Dapaah started his freestyle which was inspired by 67 and Giggs’ 2016 track “Let’s Lurk” instrumental. He began with a cool explanation of how he lives and keep up himself in the hood. He later went on to voice out his emotion with some hot lyrics on Charlie Sloth’s behaviour.

“You man thought I froze, I see a peng girl, then I pose (chilin’) If she ain’t on it, I ghost, hah, look at your nose (check your nose fam) You donut, nose long like garden hose”

Michael continued his freestyle with more funny lyrics. All his emotions came out and that’s when he said: ”the ting goes SKRRAHH!” You know what I’m saying? He wanted Charlie to understand that: ”bro, get me, I’m meant to be here bruv.” You know?

“The ting goes skrrrahh, pap, pap, ka-ka-ka Skidiki-pap-pap, and a pu-pu-pudrrrr-boom Skya, du-du-ku-ku-dun-dun Poom, poom, you dun know”

Michael Dapaah concluded the booth scene with calm words to Charlie, according to him that wasn’t is behaviour, he only got emotional because that was Big Shaq.

On 26 October 2017, Michael Dapaah released the official video Mans Not Hot which featured cameos from Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Yachty, Dutch rap-group Broederliefde and DJ Khaled, who calls Dapaah’s character a “legend”.

Mans Not Hot topped chart in over 18 countries including U.S, Germany, Australia, Belgium,Portugal, Switzerland, Nigeria. Mans Not Hot now have over a million views on Youtube and used as memes over the internet.

Michael Dapaah really isn’t hot but Big Shaq is hot. You don know.
