The maintenance culture of Nigeria is so bad that it affects even the most sensitive parts of the country's affairs.

As shared by an Ex-FIFA Anti-Racism Task Force member, Osasu Obayiuwana, he questioned the culture of the Ministry's inability to take proper care of basic amenities that concerns sports in the country.

In his wrods:

This is the current state of Nigeria’s National Stadium in Abuja. Can Sports Minister @SolomonDalung explain why it is in such a horrendous state? The stadium aptly reflects the appalling attitude of @AsoRock to matters pertaining to sport. It’s a huge shame.

Remember we are in dry season. There is insufficient vegetation to feed the cows of the fulanis . This will go a long way in feeding the official animals of the federal republic.

Do you remember how many years the stadium have been abandoned before this present administration?

Though I wish the Sport minister push for the renovation of this stadium and that of Lagos, They are an embarrassment to this Nation. Better still, they should hand over National Stadium in Lagos to Lagos State.

The best way to maintain these stadiums is to lease them out to Football Clubs to use and maintain. Unfortunately, I don't think Abuja owns a football club.

That of Lagos can be given to MFM to use and maintain, host football matches there frequently.

The London Olympic stadium in Stratford, London was leased to West Ham F.C to use and maintain so it won't end up like Abuja Stadium.

Atleast they should even let people use it instead of just locking it up and allowing it wallow and disintegrate. As the saying goes" A house is a home only when people live in"

as long as we keep practising this type of federal system of government no good can come out from Nigeria.

this is just to expose the level of decay in the system in every other sector of the nation both visible and invisible.
