The Spouse I Wanted Once upon a time I saw a spotless fair damsel With dimples and virtuous words Emphatically I called her "good thing " Her ringed neck was wow How perfect could a damsel be I love her to the moon and back I was virtually drunk And drawn to her speaking eyes She is the spouse I wanted But could not find her at dawn What a sweet insipid dream Almost two scores now Everyone ask for my spouse As age is no longer on my side... |

alas a dream it was and will always remain as painful as it may be, tis time to leave behind the musings of olde the yearnings of what could have been or seen move boldly into future, speak declare and conquer find the damsel, comely to the eyes words, soft and full of wonder heart pure: no question as to why she's just come round the corner Spotless she ain't but she's game to change there will be slips and falls but I'm human and err as well it's a work in progress making our unique masterpiece with each brushstroke: one after another ©Tedpgrass 2017 . 1 Like 1 Share |

couldn't really help it had to paste this Hope this helps TO A VIRTUOUS YOUNG LADY BY JOHN MILTON Lady! that in the prime of earliest youth, Wisely hath shunned the broad way and the green, And with those few art eminently seen, That labour up the Hill of Heavenly Truth, The better part with Mary and with Ruth, Chosen thou hast, and they that overween, And at thy growing virtues fret their spleen, No anger find in thee, but pity and ruth. Thy care is fixed and zealously attends To fill thy odorous Lamp with deeds of light, And Hope that reaps not shame; therefore be sure Thou, when the Bridegroom with his feastful friends Passes to bliss at the mid hour of night, Hast gained thy entrance, Virgin wise and pure. 1 Like |

and this too rejoinder to your lonely call-outs SONG ON MAY MORNING BY JOHN MILTON Now the bright morning-star, Day's harbinger, Comes dancing from the East, and leads with her The flowery May, who from her green lap throws The yellow cowslip, and the pale primrose. Hail, bounteous May, that dost inspire Mirth, and youth, and warm desire! Woods and groves, are of thy dressing; Hill and dale doth boast thy blessing. Thus we salute thee with our early song, And welcome thee, and wish thee long. 1 Like 1 Share |
