QUESTION FOR BUHARI SUPPORTERS:
"If Jonathan had continued, it would have been worse. In fact, Nigeria itself would have been stolen."

Above is the usual refrain of a Buhari supporter whenever he or she is boxed to a corner in an argument.

This is the DEFEATIST, STUPID and REDUCTIONIST argument that even my 9 year-old twins should not be pushing. But here we are: educates folks and those who should know better are spewing inanities.

Let us get to verifiable empiricism.

* Like joke and fading twilight, the issue of $26b contracts awarded under this government will go away. Both Kachikwu and Baru are still on their duty posts. Yet, Dasuki is in jail over a total of $2b arms deal!

* $3.5b worth of crude oil has been stolen by "unknown people" since Buhari took over. More than five and half years under Jonathan. DAILY TRUST, a northerno-centric newspaper reported this.

* Under the Ministry of Interior, the entire capital budget of 2016 was spent and not even an office pin was budget.

* Between the office of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Mamman Daura, the de-facto president, billions meant for IDPs were diverted and the only punishment was Babachir Lawal being removed and his cousin, Boss Mustangs, was put in his stead.

* Finding show that under this regime, billions of public funds are taken, open an account and then convert to dollars and same account closed down IMMEDIATELY without trace!

* We were buying fuel for N87 under Jonathan and no fuel scarcity for THREE years under him. Our saint government jerked it up to N145 and now we are groaning under scarcity!

Some things we can not even write here that one is aware of. And when you see these things, you ask yourself:

WHAT EXACTLY COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE?

We will hear the worst after this administration. Just wait.
