When these teams met in November at Anfield they drew 2-2 with a Steven Gerrard penalty earning Liverpool a point. Birmingham have gone four Premier League games without a win with just two points from 12 while Liverpool have won two and lost two of their last four while the last two League meetings between these teams at Birmingham have ended in 2-2 draws.

Birmingham could be unchanged following the 1-1 draw with Arsenal while Liverpool are still without Fabio Aurelio and Martin Skrtel. Lucas Leiva, tested for the 3-0 win over Sunderland, could return to midfield.



Birmingham (4-4-2): Hart; Carr, R Johnson, Dann, Ridgewell; Gardner, Ferguson, Bowyer; Fahey, Jerome, McFadden.

Liverpool (4-4-2): Reina; Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Insua; Maxi, Mascherano, Gerrard, Lucas; Kuyt, Torres.
