The year's almost up. Christmas is just around the corner—2018 as well. Hollywood dropped motion pictures by buckets, as usual, but only a couple caught my fancy. I think I'm anti-CGI. Or maybe not. Or maybe I just don't like too much CGI (Fate of the Furious). Too much of everything is bad, you know. Still and all, being that I'm a true connoisseur of fine films, it is only obligatory that I deemed it necessary to type down my favorite films of 2017—for the sole pleasure of my fellow movie aficionados out here. Movies of high definition and high replay value make my list in a twinkle. And it might interest y'all to know that these badass HD movies are still on my rugged 32 GB Class 10 microSD. Rugged in the sense that it was carried over from my PSP-3000 (of blessed memory) and through the slots of 2 Windows Mobile phones and 5 Android devices. Pretty evergreen, right? The accompanying images are actual screenshots from my (current) high-end Archos Android phone. Without further ado, in alphabetical order: 1. American Assassin. 2. American Made. 3. Atomic Blonde. 4. Baby Driver.

5. Brawl in Cell Block 99. 6. Dunkirk. 7. Girls Trip. 8. Ingrid Goes West. 9. John Wick. 10. John Wick: Chapter 2 (MX Player doesn't support characters such as the colon hence the title appears as John Wick Chapter 2 in the screenshot).

You're probably tripping as to how my movies are displayed with actual theatrical release posters. That's just me dripping with finesse. I'm a little too OCD with my multimedia files—be it images, audio and video.

And no, the MX Player app doesn't do that, but it sure does an exceptionally excellent job of presenting very vicarious visuals, delivering delicious displays to the eyes. Personally, it is the best video player application for everything HD. That and a 5-inch (at least) HD screen will make you give thanks to the Maker of all things for the gorgeous gift of sight. Long story short, I'm such a stickler for details. Naturally. |

Re: My Most Favorite Films of 2017 by jerricho(m): 4:57am On Dec 23, 2017 |
labanj1: Torrents. Most specifically, LimeTorrents, The Pirate Bay (proxied) and Torrent Downloads. Used to purchase all my high definition movies from iTunes and premium por.no from CD Universe, but ever since the country went into a recession, I was forced to reconsider. No be person tell me, the holes in my wallet did. I borrow myself brain sharp sharp! Torrents are heaven-sent. |

jerricho:Buying American movies online I hope you are lying or may be you watch 5 to 10 movies a year lol An average American movie cost between $10-$25,after watching what happens? And if it's not interesting, then what?. I once collected about 150gb of movies at a go, during my service year,I must have collected more than 200gb of movies. Imagine if I was to pay for that? What I'm saying is why buy American movies, it's even cheaper to get 4g Lte wireless device, some comes with free night browsing to download anything u want.Than spending N4k plus on just a movie, you will later delete. |

Greatzeus: Hilarious. In all candor, I don't do lies—especially when it comes to what I love. And for whatever I love, I don't have any problems at all going the extra mile. Proportionately, you're a little close to the number of movies I would watch on an annual basis. It's actually ten to fifteen movies a year for me—considering how long I am always willing to wait for the HD release of a particular movie of interest. Take for instance, John Wick: Chapter 2, I was already looking forward to this sequel right after seeing its predecessor in 2014. Long story short, John Wick: Chapter 2 was premiered towards the end of January this year (can't really remember the exact date), before the theatrical release a few days to Valentine's Day. That was on the tenth of February; if I'm not mistaken. Fast-forward to the thirteenth of June, 2017—after doubling, tripling and quadrupling the budget money—the movie was released on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD. So, you see, I had to wait (for) three depressingly long and agonizingly slow months for John Wick: Chapter 2 to come out in high definition. Cost me a paltry $29.99, lol! And it was well worth the wait! Furthermore, it is extremely evident everything goes for you when it comes to movies. A hundred and fifty gigabytes of “movies” in one go, is pure proof. And speaking of deleting after watching, that doesn't apply to me. Every HD movie in my possession MUST have huge replayability values. In other words, I am absolutely super selective when it comes to blockbuster Hollywood movies. I want to reiterate that I'm a stickler for details. Consequently, a true movie connoisseur wouldn't mind paying heavily after waiting forever for high definition. It's quality over quantity for me, myself and I. See you in the new year. |
