Dapper, handsome, and cocky are words that’s can only be used together in one sentence when describing Uti Nwachukwu.

Uti, as he is widely known was born in Delta state on the 3rd of August 1982, he is 35 years old, and he is a native of Ndokwa-East LGA of Delta State. Uti spent most of his early life in the South-South region of Nigeria and as a young lad, he was one of those very rare students who could role with the cool kids and brilliant in class. According to Pulse.com, he was the social prefect at his secondary school and he earned a degree from the Benson Idahosa University, Benin City with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Education with a 3.9 GPA.

Uti first came into the public eye when he appeared on the a reality show “Next Movie Star” and subsequently featured on two seasons of the Big Brother Africa reality show where he came out as the winner on his second attempt at the price money. Unlike most reality show stars who disappear a few months after the shows wrap, Uti has capitalized on the platform created for him by his appearance on the reality show and has made a name for himself on many fronts of the Nigerian entertainment industry. Since leaving the Big Brother Africa house, Uti has shown us that he is a man of many talents. He sings, he acts, a comperes, and he models.

He began his acting career in 2011 with an appearance as Marcus on the third season of MNET’s Tinsel, he has appeared in several TV series and Movies ever since. He’s featured in Movies such as;True Citizens, Finding Mercy, Breathless, Weekend Getaway Cobweb, History Box and TV series such as In the Cupboard, Tinsel. In 2012, just a year after his acting debut, he won the Golden Icon Academy Awards (GIAMA) for Best New Actor. In an interview with TheCable Lifestyle, he affirms his love for acting but admits actors deserve to be paid more for their work.
