imaxdocuments: he needs all the help he can get, my fear is the largely hidden but ever-present professional politicians in APGA or any other party for that matter, let us hope they do not get in his way too much, That's why I like soludo's confidence....... it is going to come handy soon! Soludo should try to mine the considerable talent we have in the diaspora.......... I wonder if he can hook up with Architect Vop Osili ,he is currently the president of the legislative arm of the Indianapolis city government, Osili is likely to be the next Mayor of Indianapolis, which is the 15th largest metropolis in America........soludo can get a twin city relationship between Awka and Indy...........am not sure Osili is from Anambra but who cares......the man is a solid architect too and he can help in moving our airport's future design forward, he works for Woolpert the designers of Indianapolis airport (voted severally as the best airport in America) 4 Likes |

Omanambala:Shut your frustrated mouth up this clown. Obiano is plus or minus your agemate, what is stopping you from contesting election in your native plateau state and giving them first world vibes. It's your mates that are bringing their investments home after all these while, while you are homeless in America. All these investments that have existed in other states long before Obiano became governor wont be falling over themselves to invest in the state if he's not doing something good. Shut up for once aboki 2 Likes 1 Share |

Omanambala:You are Peter Obi praise singer so you don't have the moral justification to criticize Obiano cos Peter Obi didn't change anything when he was there , Peter Obi don't care about aesthetics or quality when building/constructing any projects. If he was the person that started this Anambra airport, Anambra would've end up with the worst airport in this country that will look like a glorified garage. 4 Likes |

Cjrane2: That's how Abuja is, already planned... Most major roads across the city are ten lanes or four carriages, so those building estates close to those roads already know their limit. For instance, the Apo road is four carriage but had been using one carriage ever since but just recently construction on the other carriages and bridges just commenced without any demolishing, the only demolition was just shanties used as makeshift markets for auto wares. I just hope our major cities across south east will be planned for the future. 1 Like |

AmericanQuarter: Beautiful neighbourhood. Onitsha is a well planned city. There are many luxury neighbourhoods coming up around 3-3, GRA PHASE 2, Nkwelle, etc. The ongoing Onitsha luxury estate at Nkwelle GRA will form the Banana island of the east. There's equally Soul city ongoing at 2nd Niger Bridge axis. Awka Millennium city stands out as the best precinct in igboland. Generally Anambra is moving forward 5 Likes |

Chikeluba25: This bridge has further transformed the skyline of Onitsha mega city. Igboland now has their own Lagos though in a newer phase. With the coming of Anambra international airport and Onitsha port, business and leisure is about to take a whole new dimension in Anambra. live streamed the commissioner of transport on ABS yesterday. That program needed more time, pple were calling in to vent their frustration on agberos, illegal taxations, inaccessible roads etc The commissioner talked and talked about the problems and reeled out telephone/WhatsApp line to reach out to those in charge if from today you're being extorted by agbero...snap the scene of the illegal collection and send to their WhatsApp line(though i wondered why whatsapp?...whatever happens to privacy of the reporter?). He said it is now illegal for any agbero to stand on the road and if caught ,prosecution follows. Here is the WhatsApp line to report any illegal taxation/extortion from touts..send pictures, videos, scene of crime to 09065820149 and expect actions. i just hope it's not just about the usual talks and talks but ACTION this time around. Anambra sons and daughters shouldn't be harassed, intimidated and extorted on their fatherland. . |

Anambra’s journey to officially becoming an oil-producing state began in 2013 when Orient Petroleum Company, a private firm enterred into partnership with the state government, and started producing oil in the Aguleri basin. But it is the Obiano administration which gave it impetus by designating Oil and Gas as his fourth Pillar of economic development. In practical terms, Governor Obiano committed resources to stop the practice of accessing some oil prospecting facilities and wells in Anambra through neighboring states with the construction of the 280 metres Aguleri Otu bridge across Omambala river and the Umueje bridge. At Ogbaru Local Government Area years of illegal operations by Sterling Oil Exploration and Energy Producing Company of India in Ogwuaniocha and Ogwuikpele were checkmated while at the Anambra East Local Government Area end, claims by Kogi State over some oil wells are now subject to a fifty-fifty sharing formula, pending final resolution of the boundary claims. Anambra's journey to oil bearing status is by no means easy, but the tough battle was surmounted thanks to Governor Obiano's wealth of experience in the sector, his doggedness, and deployment of competent hands on the task, the State is now officially an Oil Producing State. Consequently, in the books of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, the State is entitled to 13% of the sale of petroleum resources from 11 oil wells in its territory, namely, Nzam-1, Alo-1, Ameshi-1, 2, and 3, and Enyie-1, 2 , 3 and 4. There is no gainsaying the positive impact of the new status on the revenue profile of the state as well as the anticipated boost on infrastructural development programme of the government in the years ahead. Interestingly, the Pillar One: Economic Transformation agenda articulated in The People's Manifesto by the Governor-elect of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo keys-in perfectly into the next phase of consolidation on the achievements of the four pillars of economic development of the Obiano administration. According to the Governor-elect: "We aim to transform Anambra State from a dorminantly informal commercial state to a Formal, Productive and Competitive Economy underpinned by rapid industrialization, Agriculture, Commerce, Entertainment/Leisure, and The Creative Economy, and Technology and Innovation, Solid Minerals and Oil and Gas." All told, the building blocks of development for a safe and secure Anambra State laid under Obiano's blueprint for economic development where everyone has opportunity to create wealth is in sync with Soludo's new deal for a liveable and prosperous homeland.
