All these things you are talking is past tense. Now the equation has changed. North Korea has developed an intercontinental ballistic missle with a nuclear war head that can finish USA. Today North Korea is the biggest threat of US and it's allies. USA no longer has the power they once had.

LoooooooL.. take away china that protects NC for its own strategic polical reasons, North Korea will not even beat the South in open warefare talkledd of the USA.
Take away Chima from the equation and There will be nothing like North Korea

Because nigeria is secular state

Buhari can't pin his religious sympathy on every Nigerian. How do you think Muslims would feel if A Christian president like Jonathan had Done the opposite that is in favor of Israel?

So the best is to sit on the fence and abstain
Stop being an obsessed anti buhati/Christian vs Muslim fanatic, it's beginning to eat into your ability to apply common sense and it makes you sound no different from the very thing you accuse buhari of. 128 frontline world countries voted against the resolution; going by your wisdom, those 128 countries are also pushing for Islamic agenda just like your buhari right? Is Nigeria more secular than those 128 countries?

It would be a blessing for us. According to the Dependency Theory, the less we depend on core states, the more we would develop. You think these core states like America are doing us a favor by giving us aids? Of course, not. They are simply encouraging us to depend on them, thereby suppressing our chances of developing. It is a sort of neocolonialism that needs to stop soon for Nigeria to truly attain greatness.

A funny country like Nigeria is still trying to deal with basic challenges like tribalism, nepotism, corruption, and religion, and here you are talking about self-reliance.

To the topic now, I just like that President Trump is a man with lots of guts. The act to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel has been in US Constitution for about 20 years but previous American presidents were scared of implementing it until Mr. Trump did.

I watched the US rep to the UN emphasize on US monetary, military and humanitarian contributions to the United Nations and the world over. Truly, I just hope they don't withdraw those. Because if they do, the Nigeria I know too well is in trouble, and China and Russia are not willing enough to play the helpful role of the US around the world.

Seriously ,when did NIGERIAN government and leader become champion of human right?

Was it UNITED NATIONS that chose Abuja as Nigeria's capital city?

It was a wanton charade by UN. That election is a diplomatic misfire that should not have happened. U.S is a sovereign nation with right to move their capital and recognize any place in the world.

The vote against that decision is so useless that it will further show how weak UN has become. Nothing will happen to U.S and Israel. That decision of Trump stands.

America carries 22 percent of entire UN budget. If they withdraw that. UN will retrench staff for the first time in History. Humanitarian aid world over will feel the impact.

The vote was wrongly timed. Diplomatic reach out should have continued....see Nigeria wey dey beg U.S for military arms and support dey vote against them. Issoari
Na for this comment I know say you get sense.

I respect ur intellectual capability and analysis. All the useless comments have being reading shows many people are not versed in intl politics. In a world where China and Russia are ready to cement their influence and ties with many countries. They would be glad to fill in the space 90% of the aid US give is military aid and Russia / China would be happy to do that.

The era of US aggression and bullying is over, nations are ready to stand up against US barbaric act. The two-state solution remains.

America is world power and they still exercise restraints in certain actions. This may not be the case if other powers like Russia or China replace them. America maybe a little racist but that does not compare to China (they have a museum where the pictures of blacks are put side by side with monkeys and apes). Their Human right records is very low, freedom of religion is limited. They interfere in the govt of other countries albeit subtly. Let's be careful what we wish for. Abstinence would have being Nigeria's best choice.

Many of you are typical empty headed noise makers. Nigeria's vote is consistent with the country historical international policy on israel-palestine issue. Aside recent military aid United States can't boast of any major aid to Nigeria. Voting against is the right thing to do as this stand in support of UN stance on the two state-2 capitals policy. US, a country that claim to be an arbiter in peaceful resolution of israel-palestine conflict can't take side as Trump just did. And US response to the countries that voted against sound typical of a bully nation. Trademark Trump, a deranged egotistic individual. Same thing he did on the Paris Climate policy. The US has never been this isolated. It's end as a superpower is getting closer as China, US major creditor takes over.

I'm strongly in support of the US and Israel alliance to crush terrorism in the world in whatever form it rears it head.

The Palestinians are only playing the victim card here because they were overpowered by Israel, yet they are still bearing their fangs of terrorism with Hamas and other terrorist groups targeting Israel on daily basis. imagine if reverse was the case, Israel would have been bombed into extinction.

Israel's attack on Palestine is only reactionary.

1. They don't have to pay victims because they are actually the victims.

2. For God's sake how can you say the Palestinians are overpowered and then turn around to say the Isreali attacks are reactional?

3. Islam has and never will be the enemy, the earlier you realize we are humans first before Muslims our Christians or Jewish, the better for you.

4. One more thing, take your time to read your own history, The Christian crusaders, the American slave trade etc. And believe me, you'll realize that if you were born Afghanistani, you might be a much worse terrorist.

Some of u ain't verse in international politics....

Gone are the days you will fear offending the US. Nigeria has started taking stands without fear of US backlash. We did it wen they pressured us for the gay law. If US withdraw their support...other world powers like Russia and China will gladly fill that space. The latter are even looking to grow their influence in Africa so its an opportunity they crave. Secondly Nigeria is a leader in Africa and any responsible member of the UN will condemn a move that will surely destabilise the region and disrupt the peace process. If uk, france, germany, Japan and Korea can oppose the us on this...it tells u a lot....y'all need to know the history of the issue to understand why the world is against the move. The CIA director under Obama called the move 'beyond outrageous'.- especially when the us threatened countries that planned to vote for the resolution.

The us under trump is acting as a rogue state and any responsible country will stand up to be counted in opposing it
Don't mind o jare. As I was reading some comments here, I was just laughing.

It is ignorance and religious inclination that make them thinking and talking that way.

Many uninformed Nigerians (both Christians and Muslims) believe it is religious issue.

Nobody is ganging Up against Isreal, Trump is just a sick President who thinks he can control other countries by Bullying. Politics is not that plain, you need tact, not just unnecessary brashness, There's a reason why past US presidents thou wanted to install Jerusalem as the capital of Isreal but did not carry it through...but their Orange Ting thinks he knows more than everyone else, he just keep embarrassing the US since his inception into office. In another circumstance, I think many of these countries will vote in favor of Israel.

If only we had a leader like Trump in Nigeria we would have been better off. Virtually everything he said during his campaign is what he is implementing. Let Buhari implement just 10% of what he said before his election into office.

Many of you supporting israel, go online and on Youtube to see how they treat the true Hebrews, which are of African dissent. Then you can come back here to support a nation currently run by Askanazi jews whose fakeness has been foretold in the holy book:

Some people's comments shows many don't understand the world politics. Most comments here are based on their religion affiliations. I noticed most Nigerian Christians are in support of Trump's decision to move US embassy to Jerusalem. The UNGA last night resolution is about humanity not religion. Zionist state of Israel is a rogue/terrorist state. Everyone knows the land belongs to the Palestinians. The state of Israel is illegal.

Since the creation of Israel, no Catholic pope (both past and present) support the state of Israel. Nigerian Christians should read history books, everything is not about religion. The state of Israel doesn't even like Christians, they have more muslims than Christians. Palestine has more Christians than the state of Israel but myopic people don't know that.

Lastly, Nigerian foreign policy has always being in support of the state of Palestine. Our past leaders, both Christians and Muslims have always supports Palestine only GEJ is the black sheep. Africa has a whole supports Palestine, only the poor ones are in support of Israel just because of aids.
Bleep Trump and Netanyahu.

All relationships will come back to normalcy when Trump leave seat, South Korea and US will be fine, but the guy there now is a psycho; South Korea voted their conscience just like most of the world, collecting aids can't be used as a blackmail. Trump is even doing more harm to them than good, with his rhetoric with Kim of north Korea...They will be praying everyday that it doesn't turn to full blown war.
