Who is he?

Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi is the executive governor of Oyo state born on December 16 1953.

Ibadan being the capital of Oyo state often has been referred to as an ancient city or the city of brown roofs.  Under the administration and rule of his excellency,  Senator abiola Ajimobi,  OYO state has witnessed a huge developmental growth in terms of investment,  IGR,  infrastructure etc

IGR: Taking OYO state to its potential,  the administration of his excellency senator Abiola Ajimobi doubled the state capability by influencing developmental projects. A state with an IGR below 8 bllion naira doubled in just two years and competing vibrantly with other states.  With a 38.14% half year growth,  she has the potential of generating her first ever #20 billion.

Mokola Flyover Bridge: The first flyover bridge in the state was constructed by senator abiola Ajimobi.  A necccesary action that has been able to decongest traffic around the mokola axis. Apart from this,  this is an admirable feat in the state infrastructural development.

Polaris PaceSetter free Trade Zone:A new trade zone located along lagos Ibadan road with 175 manufacturing and assembly plants to have enlisted to set up within the zone upon the completion of the first phase.

TOURISM Agodi Gardens: a tourist attraction in the city of Ibadan sitting on a 150 acres of land. A tourist center unable to reach its full potential was and has been redesigned . Agodi gardens with the capability to generate up to #500 million naira in a year is now a hub for tourists in Nigeria .

Low Cost Housing Estates: Infrastructure is crucial in development and it's evident in the projects being commsioned by Governor Abiola Ajimobi. Under his leadership,  the state government built a 45 units of ultra modern duplex in olive court Ibadan.

Technical University : His excellency,  Senator Abiola Ajimobi commenced introduced The Technical University (TechU), Ibadan, which first of its kind in Nigeria and in West and Central Africa. This university was established to expand access to University education and more importantly to address the employability gaps through entrepreneurial orientation of the average Nigerian youth.

The face of Oyo state especially Ibadan city has been changed from what it used to be starting from environmental cleanliness, security,  educational trust fund to infrastructural development which has led to making Ibadan city an attractive location to investors.

You can describe Governor abiola Ajimobi as a governor whose main and keen interest lies in infrastructural development  and growth of the state. Oyo state can be describe as a true reference of entrepreneurship with various projects embarked on by the state government to support entrepreneurs. In his words "youth constitute about 60% of our populations and we need to concentrate in making entrepreneurs out of them".
