REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by CILondon: 9:10pm On Apr 04, 2010 |
NIGERIA IS HEADED THE WAY OF YUGOSLAVIA Nigeria is heading the way of Yugoslavia and will inevitably split into 6 or even 7 separate nation states. I fear bloodbath and tragedy - so many have already suffered and died as it is. BLOODSHED MUST BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. NO MORE BLOODSHED PLEASE! The only peaceful solution is to give the Nigerian people the right to decide their own destiny, in the form of a referendum. The referendum must be free, honest, fair and open to the rigours of international observation and supervision. Whatever the people decide in this referendum must be OBEYED. Those regions that vote for breakaway (if any do) must be allowed to do so non-violently and without reprisal. The regions that vote to remain with Nigeria must also be allowed to remain with Nigeria. It is the only solution THE PEOPLE MUST BE OBEYED!!! |

Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by sjeezy8: 11:03pm On Apr 04, 2010 |
Great but during that dream make sure you include the civil war which will be fought to split nigeria and after the civil war the series of war fought between southerners. atleast 3-4 republic will come out of the south alone. |
Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by Sunofgod(m): 11:08pm On Apr 04, 2010 |
A referendum is the only way to avoiid Nigeria breaking up due to civil war. If Nigerians vote for the country to remain together then so be it. Its a democratic procedure. |

The northerners well the elite want one Nigeria- which means all Northerners The middle belt- One Nigeria The West can careless but One Nigeria for the hell of it. we are comfortable jare The ND well some will say One Nigeria Edos, itsekiri maybe urhobos, possibly efiks, ibibio, The east(mainly igbos) can want Biafra all they want- I say mainly ibos because the ijaws are calling for homogenous ijaw states to be made out of rivers, awka ibom, cross river.- (i) BENI-EBE STATE with Arogbo as Capital and demarcated into Arogbo, Ukparamo, Adogba, Ajakpata, Adoloseimoh, Awodikuro, Apoi, Gbekebo, Egbema, Ofunama/Opuama, Olodiama, Furupagha and Okomu Local Government Areas. (ii) TORU-EBE STATE with Bomadi as Capital and demarcated into Burutu, Ogulagha, Warri North, Warri South, Ayakoromo, Kiagbodo, Ezebiri, Seimbiri, Bomadi, Tuomo, Ndoro, Torugbene, Patani and Kumbokiri Local Government Areas; (iii) KENGEMA STATE with Degema as Capital and demarcated into Abisse, Aguda Toru, Akilama Toru, Akuku Toru I, Akuku Toru II, Asari Toru, DELGA, Kalabari Toru I, Kalabari Toru II, Ke, Kula, Obu-Kula, Obilo, Ololo Toru, Owuanga Toru, Old-Kalabari Toru I, Old-Kalabari Toru II, Sombreiro I, Sombreiro II, Sankrama and Tobu Local Government Areas (iv) ABAJI STATE with Port Harcourt Township as Capital City and demarcated into Port Harcourt Township, Obolo, Bolo, Ogu, Okrika, Ogoloma, Isaka, Bonny, Kalaibiama, Iniasiri, Opobo, Nkoro, Agbo, Amaiba, Amajaaba, Oka, Okoromita, Okosun, Okuba, Okwaan-Aja, Okwaan-Okuka, Oru and Ujama Local Government Areas democratically nothing has really change from the first civil war. War actually sounds better and is more realistic |

sjeezy8: You have demonstrated and reiterated the fact that imbecilic is incurable. I am of the view that Port Harcourt (Igwe Ocha Mbara Ama) arguably belongs to a certain group in Nigeria that is not Ijo. I can state unequivocally that you and your ilk are among the people who would render referendum or national conference a futile effort in Nigeria. |

@ Ezeagu - my fault akwa ibom and river state The territories of the indigenous Ijaw communities from Andoni (Eastern Obolo) and Ibeno clans in Akwa-Ibom State - thats what ijaws are saying im not ijaw nor from the SS I never said PH is not igbo, IT PROBABLY IS MAJORITY. I said IJAWS WANT TO SPLIT THOSE CURRENT STATES into 4 homogenous Ijaw states- dont GET angry with me for copying and pasting what the Ijaw political groups want. lol There are minority ijaws who are indigenous to ondo, edo,Lagos- like wise to other states in the SS. So like I said the land that everyone "thinks" will be apart of their country may not be . ijaws are asking for their own homogenous states(from akwa ibom and river state) now - so its realistic to say that if Nigeria were to split there will be some problems of course. lol you think ijaws will let rivers and awka ibom (the highest earning Oil states) go easily hahaha- __________________________________________________________________________ 1. The creation of four new homogenous Ijaw States be enacted immediately by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and assented to by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as follows: (i) BENI-EBE STATE with Arogbo as Capital and demarcated into Arogbo, Ukparamo, Adogba, Ajakpata, Adoloseimoh, Awodikuro, Apoi, Gbekebo, Egbema, Ofunama/Opuama, Olodiama, Furupagha and Okomu Local Government Areas. (ii) TORU-EBE STATE with Bomadi as Capital and demarcated into Burutu, Ogulagha, Warri North, Warri South, Ayakoromo, Kiagbodo, Ezebiri, Seimbiri, Bomadi, Tuomo, Ndoro, Torugbene, Patani and Kumbokiri Local Government Areas; (iii) KENGEMA STATE with Degema as Capital and demarcated into Abisse, Aguda Toru, Akilama Toru, Akuku Toru I, Akuku Toru II, Asari Toru, DELGA, Kalabari Toru I, Kalabari Toru II, Ke, Kula, Obu-Kula, Obilo, Ololo Toru, Owuanga Toru, Old-Kalabari Toru I, Old-Kalabari Toru II, Sombreiro I, Sombreiro II, Sankrama and Tobu Local Government Areas (iv) ABAJI STATE with Port Harcourt Township as Capital City and demarcated into Port Harcourt Township, Obolo, Bolo, Ogu, Okrika, Ogoloma, Isaka, Bonny, Kalaibiama, Iniasiri, Opobo, Nkoro, Agbo, Amaiba, Amajaaba, Oka, Okoromita, Okosun, Okuba, Okwaan-Aja, Okwaan-Okuka, Oru and Ujama Local Government Areas 3. Declaration of Intent: This resolve by the Ijaw Nation for four additional homogeneous Ijaw States and additional local governments for Bayelsa State (Ijaw being a close fourth largest ethnic group in Nigeria) will assure political equity to the Ijaws in Nigeria as the creation of these four more Ijaw States will put us, the Ijaws, at par with the Yorubas in the West who have six (6) States, the Igbos in the East who have five (5) States and the Hausa-Fulani in the North who have fifteen (15) States. Any further demand by the Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba and/or the Igbo to increase their number of States will automatically entitle the Ijaws to have an equal increase in the number of Ijaw States. We will no longer play a second fiddle to any ethnic group in Nigeria. We are sufficiently economically viable to sustain the number of states requested, even more so than many of the current existing States. If our Demand is not met, the Ijaw Nation, as the aboriginal people of the Niger Delta, shall move forward to assert their God-given and internationally recognized Right to Self-government, by virtue of Article 1 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, ratified and accented to on the 16th of December 1966 by Resolution 2200A (XXI) of the General Assembly of the United Nations, and by virtue of Articles 1, 2, 3, 6, 21, 26, 27, 28, 30 and 31 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. http://www.ijawfoundation.org/resolution_001_08.htm ______________________________________________________________ Im realistic - so i know ijaws arent getting any new states out the states where they are minorities- without a fight so its time people stop dreaming about a split in Nigeria without any conflicts. North and south is fairly easy but between the ethnic groups in South will be a bloody one. |
Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by ow11(m): 7:43pm On Apr 05, 2010 |
ezeagu: I think the Ijaw foundation writers were referring to old PH (i.e. Azikiwe Rd down to Borokiri and possibly Sekeni-Ama,Abuloma/Okujagu and Tere-ama areas). The Ikwerre areas (Diobu and all the Rumus) are excluded. The Indigenes of Eastern Obolo LGA in Akwa-Ibom state are the same people with those in Andoni LGA in RV state. So why are they in another state? Even the state creations in Nigeria is flawed. |
Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by Onlytruth(m): 10:10pm On Apr 05, 2010 |
I was discussing with a friend yesterday and was lamenting the fact that technology has refused to take off in Nigeria. He put forward a very concise and accurate reason why technology has not, and will never take off in Nigeria: NIGERIA IS A FRAUD - A BIG ONE AT THAT. He argued that technology thrives on truth. There are no cutting of corners or short cuts. So, Nigeria will remain a midget technologically speaking, and I guess in terms of general development until truth prevails. Nigeria has never conducted an honest census. Since ethnicity is the single biggest determinant of political maneuvers in Nigeria, you would think that there should have been a census of the tribes to get the accurate picture of Nigeria's ethnic groups in order to give every tribe its due in terms of representation and clout (since the north will never allow true federalism) but no, it has never happened! Suddenly every tribe is claiming marginalization and needs more states created for them. I have never been a fan of state creation. For instance, I would prefer one state for the Igbo in Nigeria. Other tribes can have 1000 states for all I care. What I hate is the fraud associated with state creation and the division it brings to Nigeria even within same tribes. All these are part of the by-products of the last civil war. Sometimes I think only another civil war can resolve all these nonsense and put people in their proper place in Nigeria. The idiocy is getting out of hand! |
Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by CILondon: 1:28am On Apr 06, 2010 |
But why does it have to be a civil war? Why can't it be a peaceful referendum where the people get to determine their own destiny without a single drop of blood shed. It worked for Czechoslovakia and the Soviet union. Why does Nigeria have to be so violent about everything? |
Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by Onlytruth(m): 7:28am On Apr 06, 2010 |
CILondon: Because contemporary Nigeria was shaped by the first civil war of 1967-70, and the stench of idiocy from its unresolved aftermath is becoming unbearable. The place is like a zoo and everybody claims the same thing. Why can't we have a proper census, boundaries, sensible electoral districts and other basic sensible things enjoyed by other progressive countries? Let me be clear -if we cannot even say the truth about the last civil war (the true cause and the roles played by tribes in it), and have not successfully conducted a FULL census of tribes in Nigeria (ie count everyone and identify their tribes), what gives you the impression that Nigerians can resolve the country's issues peacefully? I'm gradually beginning to feel that peaceful solution to Nigeria's problems may be unrealistic. The law of the jungle -survival of the fittest- might be the only solution. You have folks making idiotic statements all over the place, just because we don't know who is who in Nigeria. There is simply too much idiocy going on. Nigerians don't even understand concessions and consensus. It's all about undermining the next tribe. Why can't simple sanity prevail in Nigeria? Sickening. |

Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by Nobody: 6:16pm On Jun 17, 2010 |
Rumuigbo and Rumuibekwe are not Port harcourt . They are simply Rumuigbo and Rumuibekwe just as Igwurita and Omagwa and Elele and choba are not PH. ABULOMA is not PH too JUST AS DIOBU or Ebisi is not PH. These are different towns that have joined togther due to development. |

Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by EzeUche(m): 9:01pm On Jun 18, 2010 |
^^^^^^^ I doubt it Yoruba. Yorubas always brag the most about their money, but never have any or are in debt. Now Igbos on the other hand will never talk about their money even though they have plenty! |
Re: REFERENDUM - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA! by sjeezy8: 9:51pm On Jun 18, 2010 |
I dont think I was bragging just saying the truth- point blank and its NOT a yoruba thing, its an sjeezy thing. So theres no need to group sjeezy in any tribal category- im not a loser like you who attributes everything to his ethnicity. . . So what sjeezy does is sjeezys thing- not yoruba or yoruba peoples thing so do me a favour and hop off my nu,t,ts- village boy |

PROJECT: Because the moment you start the movement you'll discover halfway that your worst enemies are your surpposed neighbors (cowards) that were urging you to go ahead in the movement. Put simply, your partners in the movement will suddenly be the ones that will brand you a "Hooligan" and throw the last stone that will send you to the great beyond. It is in our history. check it. |
