There is really no sample, just tell your Dr to write a medical report for you to send to your Dr in the USA or give your Dr the email address of your USA Dr to send it to and copy you.

Hello everyone, thanks so much for sharing your experiences on this forum. It has helped me understand the interview process a great deal. GOD bless the brains behind this.

Please I’d like to have a sample Letter written by a Nigerian physician to the physician in the US.
Is it a requirement for the Visa interview?
Who should it be addressed to?

It is ethically wrong for your hospital to request money to write it.
chinybelle:

I was told here that the hospital knows how to go about it.
It's not a requirement for interview but can form part of your doctor's correspondence.

My problem now is that the hospital is requesting for 20k to draft it.
Which I feel is totally off. Why do I need to pay so much to get my medical history /report?

Pls those that did this should put mouth o

No, the letter is not required for visa interview, but some us doctors demand for it cause the want to know your medical history.

Yes she can. But when going for interview go with marriage cert and change of name. I've been doing it for 7 years of marriage smiley No issues.

I don't know why justwise bans discussions on accommodation options during childbirth.

I contacted Austin birthing center and their total cost is 4000$ for uncomplicated birth. Has anyone used a birthing center a d was able to renew visa?

Any ideas to save cost cos my ultimate goal is for my kid to have dual citizenship at a minimum cost.

Please if you have any interesting info, do pm.

Thanks

Good evening everyone. Thanks for all your contributions.
I have been to the USA twice now before my visa expires, I renewed via drop box and I was given another two years... But due to work and my studies, I have not been able to travel with my current visa. It will be expiring in April 2018, but I just conceived and I have the intention of going to the USA to have my first child. I intend to go before April so that I could spend some time before my delivery. However, my visa will expire before my due date...
Questions
1. How do I go about this?
2. Is visiting visa different from birth visa?
3. Do I renew before April?
4. How do I go about the renewal?.

Thanks so much in anticipation of your response

Please I want to ask my chances at the US embassy and how to go about applying because last year my wife applied for a B1/B2 visa as she was pregnant by then, she was granted the visa. (7months ago) I could not apply with her because of my job. She came back after 12wks with our daughter and now am thinking of applying alone myself so as to go visit and pay the remaining bills . please hope I won't be deny visa as we are still owing the hospital bills .....

It's still same category of visa and you can choose to travel with the visa before it expires . but I will advise you apply for a medical visa as in, state that you are going to give birth. just so as to avoid any form of trouble in the future.

I think that will be a good idea and that is to try getting the visa alone without your wife so that you can hopefully pay off the last birthing medical bills you still owe.

You don't want to jeopardize you and your wife's futures chances of ever being approved of future US visas.

Believe it or not those US visas officers will know when you've defaulted in paying up those outstanding birthing medicals bills that you still owe.

1. See this link for post of several options open to you. https://www.nairaland.com/post/63979652
2. Tourist (visiting) and medical "birthing" visas are both B2...but some CBPs and VOs have asked mamas if embassy was informed that their tourist visas were to be used for childbirth.
3. In theory, your visa allows entry up to the day on the visa.
4. Not sure if this is what you mean. Use http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-ds160complete.asp and have your burden of proof for medical..doctor/hospital correspondence...accomodation...proof of funds etc.

the first question is why cant call the hospital send some money to them, get a recent updated statement to show you have a payment plan with the hospital.
then apply
