RIBBON IN HER HAIR

I am the wind!

There she was
With a look so heavenly
Claimed she was uncomely
On the contrary, she had the prettiest face I had ever seen

Amazing and beautiful
Neither a flower nor a pearl
Could surpass her looks
And her smile! Yes her smile!
Genuine and broad enough to convey several persons across the Niger river

Indeed a direct creation from God
One worthy of being placed on a pedestal
For all the world to see and adore

But she had a ribbon in her hair
Which only made it difficult for me to blow through and unravel her mystery
And that was my loss.

Dreams of his bride cloud his mind
Travelled nations to find his lost piece
While she lay in the city of a thousand treasures
Where the depth of the world finds rest
Times passed when he stumbled on milestone
His gaze filled with content
That he may never fall out of love

Swinging her waist like a little deity
His heart found new peace
So he never would bear hatred
He pawned his doubts
The nearer she came,the more his heart yearned for love

He cursed those who despise her
Silently yearning in amusement
So drunk in lifetime illusion
He toasted to unending love.





BITTERED

Torn apart with Shame
Cast down by my blood
Stripped till I could no longer feel my soul
Heart wept for mercy
Hands trembled as my pride was torn to pieces
Stained with shame
Killed by a deadly bullet
Buried in the land of Sodom
And left with no dignity

What more could be better than this?
Pondered on my existence
Wondered why I was born
Suffered in the dungeon of darkness
When you sold my conscience
My spirit was pure like the snow,
In the midst of this terror,
I desperately wanted to hate you
But my heart failed me.
