This is madness .....even God does not treat us like this. Point to note this men kneeling down are just sycophants

First and foremost, let me speak for the Nigerian army: the Nigerian army will NEVER allocate soldiers to "body guard" a civilian pastor EXCEPT if the pastor is a Military Chaplain(MC)...at most, a mobile police (as seen in that picture) will be assigned to "body guard" a civilian pastor.

Secondly, there are three kinds of pastors: the one God calls, the one a senior pastor calls (probably because he sees a preaching gift in him) and the one that calls himself. It should also be noted that who calls the pastor into ministry determines everything about the pastor.

Lastly, God doesn't call pastors, he calls men...pastor is just a title and like every title, anyone can claim it and as for that picture, let God be the judge.

This is not about Christianity. What they have done is not necessarily wrong if they see the man Of God as their spiritual father (regardless of his age) and coupled with our cultural values, kneeling down is one of the signs of respect.

You will not see whites that are Christians doing this. Not that it invalidates the act or validates it either, but trying to use this picture as an attack on Christianity is not it at all.

But gestures like these may unconsciously instil pride into the man Of God himself.

Gestures like that must be forbidden by the men of God, because in the Bible God forbade this. It is a pity that men of God favor such attitudes that come from our pagan cultural traditions, either we are pagan or we are Christians, but not both. The first time I saw such attitudes was at the Liberation City Church Ojodu Berger Lagos, and I was shocked.
