South African hip hop has been on a rise this year with lots of success coming from various artists. Many has made us proud with their achievements and others still have lots of work to put in. Each music genre has its own visual identity, but fashion and Hip Hop have always been two things that goes together and rappers are now style icons. zaxclusive presents you the list of the 10 best dressed south African hip hop artist for the year 2017. See list below: 10. A-Reece A-Reece broke into the industry with his debut album Paradise. And since then he has been getting love and respect from fans and co artists. His latest project is the From Me To You & Only You Album. 9. Emtee My Enemies crooner Mthembeni Ndevu popularly known as Emtee sits at the number 9 place. His latest project is his Manando Album which was released on September 15th under the Ambitiouz Entertainment. He went into fashion and about to open his own clothing ranger. Big ups to him 8. Youngsta CPT The Yasis Crooner evokes a sense of nostalgia with his Adidas tracksuits, FILA tees and bucket hats; oozing effortless cool No one does retro sportswear like Youngsta. 7. Nasty C The Youngin who has been on a successful Ivyson Tour sits at number 7. Nasty C is known for his love for snickers, and recently he collaborated with Sportscene to launch a new sneaker range. 6. K.O The raper who first achieved fame as a member of Teargas, sits at number 6. The Skhanda Rebublic went platinum on release. K.O is known for his simple style of polo shirt, a jean trousers and sneakers. 5. Da L.E.S Leslie Jonathan Mampe, Jr popularly known as Da L.E.S came into limelight with his band, Jozi and is most known for his single Heaven. Has always stayed true to 90’s street wear, basketball jerseys and shorts along with snapbacks have been synonymous with his style over the years. 4. Shane Eagle Shane Eagle dropped his Yellow Album in October which later went platinum. He is a street wear devotee who regularly opts for comfort in a branded hoodie and jeans. His looks comprised of a Kappa tracksuit, Champion track pants and FILA gear; keeping it strictly 90’s and on point with the current retro sportswear craze in fashion. 3. AKA He had a very good year as he had his song The World Is Yours topping the list of 10 most played hip hop songs on South African radio this year. He is a lover of designer labels like Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Off White; AKA also knows how to take it to the streets with brands like BAPE and South African streetwear label Styla Gang. 2. Casper Nyovest The Tito Mboweni star had the most fabulous year, with the success of his FillUpFNB Concert which took place on December 1st. Casper recently opened his first clothing store based in Newtown, Johannesburg; stocking simple and wearable pieces like hoodies, tees and caps. 1. Riky Rick Rikhado Makhado, better known by his stage name Riky Rick rose to fame when he released his hit single Nafukwa. His affinity for fashion and style is notable, unwavering of public opinions. He effortlessly switch between street wear and high-end fashion pieces. Not everybody can rock silver metallic pants, an orange printed shirt, a pink denim jacket and still look jiggy.
