I had about 153 birds, 3 months ago from 1 day old, about 7 died, we had 140 birds brought out for sale, we sold about 125 birds for 4,500-3,000, mostly 3,000 naira to retailers but now we have about 15 birds left, broilers and we're still looking for buyers, unlike during easter I'd say this Christmas sales wasn't so profitable.

Being a starter, I had a terrible experience. I gathered all my resources to raise 60 birds of which a lot of money had already been spent on feeding them to marketable size. But lo & behold I can only sell for #2000( I swear to God) even my cost of production is higher than the total sale. In fact its a total loss of investment for me.

I had a bitter experience,after spending alot on feed I expected to make a profitable sale but reality gave me a real shock, for birds that should be priced at least 3000naira I ended up selling at 1800... I still have 16birds left for new year sales

its a pity, I think its the bad economy and bad marketing strategy
