As for unity schools, your 300 score is to get you to qualify for a slot in your own assured quota while for the Kano boy, he requires a score of "3" to get a slot in his own state's assured quota. So stop fighting a foolish fight over a quota that has already been shared fairly across states to ensure the "unity" composition of the enrollment in a supposed unity school.

If you find yourself or your ward in such a quagmire, proceed to another school that is not a unity school and where admission is simply based on who scored above the admission mark. A school where there is no federal subsidy and where you will pay your money's worth for the quality of education received, instead of crying over the slot reserved for Abubakar after Emeka and Chibuzor have already occupied their own reserved slot.

Igbo's should quit wailing about what score Kano or Yobe require to fill quota slots that have already been assigned to those states regardless of what scores are made by the students. Concern yourself with the quota slots that were already assigned to your own states for which high competition has resulted in high cut off marks.

If you are not satisfied and feel cheated with a quota that you have no business with, then embrace dullness among your own students so that poor scores will also ensure very low cut off for quota slots that have already been fairly shared to each state in the country.

When the successive evil Nigerian governments took the teaching of nigerian history away from the school, it produces outcomes like your kind of reasoning. i lived in the north, the common people don't belive that and even till now,you should separate politics from day to day life. the typical hausa man lives quietly and contentedly. they don't brag.if you ve been to kori textile market in kano or if you can ask from someone who has you'll get the feeling of what I'm saying. most of the traders own shops worth millions but you know their favorite vehicle? the modest vespa motorcycle. hausa/fulani people can be many things but they are the most humble group of people in Nigeria. mind you in not saying they are saints.
