Considering we have an abundance of limestone in nigeria, and over 5 cement companies producing in large commercial quantities where we are even exporting the excess. Considering, all the process in the cement value chain is virtually carried out locally without having to export the raw materials and import the finished goods like petroleum. Inspite of the abundance of cement in the country, a bag still goes for as high as 2,500. I'm still trying to figure out why the price is still this high, since we've attained self sufficiency in cement production. Despite the recession, i think the price of cement should be 2,000 per bag and not the present 2,500.

in china same quality with dangotee cement is $50$ per metric tons, and 1 metric tons is 20 bags. whereas dangotee is seeling a bag at $7.22

$7 X $20 = $140.

if not for recent inflation that befall Nigeria this buhari administration. look how cheap it would have been.

The thing just tire me! If you see the kind of unsolid construction of buildings being built in this contemporary society then you should pity for this generation.
We all should expect more building collapse.

Using one bag of cement to mould 40,50,60 and even 70 pieces of block building imagine!
Using 15 head-pan of sand and 15 head-pan of gravel making it 30 head-pan with a bag of cement to cast a pilar of building, Imagine!
The cost of cement is the cause of all this, we should blame the cement company owners, the owner of the a building, the contractor, the building engineers and the building workers for any building collapse.
