NONNYG: The country is not as it is widely proclaimed/ portrayed online, I was at the Nigerian embassy few months ago to see the Ambassador / other embassy officials concerning a team of investors l was bringing from the West to Kigali, what l heard of what they did to some Nigerian investors shocked me to my bone marrow. I also met with few Nigerian and non_Nigerian expats and they corroborated the same news l was told by consular officials. The small vacation home l was constructing their has been suspended indefinitely. My advice for would be investors in Rwanda is this, be very very careful because Rwanda is a police country and as a foreigner, you are monitored by the different security apparatus in the country and your investment can be taken over by the government just like what happened to few investors under spurious and fake allegations. President Kagame is a civilian wicked dictator, he muzzles everything in the country, you dare not publish any negative albeit true story against the country / policies / or any arm of the government. Lots of people are either missing, dead or abandoned in jail without any press reportage Again, recently an American pastor called Reverend Gregg Schoof who has lived in Rwanda for 16 years was arrested, his church closed down and radio station taken over by the government and the guy was deported out of Rwanda back to the US , the news is online, you can check it on Google. The total number of Nigerians in Rwanda is not more than 300 according to consular officials, you can easily get your business registration done in a day or less but to set up the business, immigration will have to come and physically inspect your office or business, and what they see determines whether you get 3months Special pass permits or 2 years residence permits The purchasing power of Rwandanese citizens is very poor, 63 percent of the population still live in extreme poverty, apart from restaurant / hotel / bar/ coffee shops businesses in good strategic location's , it is difficult to do the kind of small scale businesses we have in Nigeria, rent is high in good location and tax is l think between 18 to 20 percent The border closure between Rwanda / Uganda / Burundi is affecting Rwanda's economy seriously, recently, some international organizations have accused Kagame of cooking up figures to show to the world that the country is doing well and that investors can come but the reality on ground is not the same. I rather take the good counsel of consular officials / Ambassador of Nigeria than believe the baloney of Kagame Rwanda is not yet uhuru, apart from the security and cleanliness of the country, setting up a business in Rwanda is a colossal waste of time / resources / money/ energy etc The information above can be disagreed by people who want to but I will rather take the wise counsel of the Ambassador to me than anything else from anyone. Good luck to those planning to go to Rwanda. 25 Likes |

There seems to be coordinated attempts targeted at the ruining the reputation of Rwanda's president, Paul Kagame from certain 'elements' (we know who). Below is an article from CNN https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2019/07/27/africa/rwanda-opposition-disappearances-intl/index.html Some of these reports might be worth been investigated. I just hope Rwanda doesn't tow the same line with Libya did after Muammar al-Gaddafi was ousted |

Floyd45: Exactly my thought , I am going to create time to address some of the findings I have gathered during my stay in Kigali . The west will never support anyone for being to strong . The plan is to divide and rule 2 Likes |

didodidode: Inasmuch as I will want to agree with you, why will Kagame hold on to power for too long if he means well? Is he the only sensible person in Rwanda? Everytime, the same mistake and we blame the west for intervening into Africa's matter but we are the major cause of it. Tell me, has Nigeria been invaded by anybody? Is it not the same Africa? I keep saying this, I will never go to any African country that the head of state has spent over 12+ years in power because that's a time bomb ticking. 5 Likes |

dfrost:I agree, a quick addup to what you posted above, the Rwanda Constitution has been amended and Kagame will be in power till 2034, and it is silently been echoed that either his daughter or son-in-law will take over from Kagame Rwanda is owned by Kagame, Kagame is like a small god / idol in Rwanda, nobody, l repeat nobody dare utter any negative things against Kagame, German Ambassador was sent packing because RIB intercepted a correspondence were the Ambassador called Kagame a dictator and Kagame ordered him out of the country A Nigerian called Mr Bello who was solely incharge of supplying catering services to all airlines entering Kigali was set up on spurious allegations, arrested and detained for 3years, he died and his corpse sent back to Nigeria (only the Nigerian Ambassador was allowed to see him in detention before he died, the Ambassador said this to me one on one at his office and I confirmed same from other consular officials, the horrors I heard going on in Rwanda scared me to my bone marrows) Again, all the big businesses in Kigali is owned by Kagame via proxies, the Hutus are waiting in the flangs for a comeback to power, several opposition members / military personnel of Hutu extraction are in neighboring East African countries waiting for the slightest opportunity to comeback and overthrow the crook called Kagame Rwanda is militarised, from 2 to 3 pm daily you see police men with AK 47 in almost every Junction all over the country, in the night, heavily armed military personnel are posted all over the country, citizens are docile because if you talk, Na straight to jail. I am able to say all this because I am not in the country and l am anonymous, the small project (uncompleted vacation home) l have their is already in the market, l will sell it off and not step into that country again. I see a LIBYA kind of revolution in the future, Kagame is just a joker, masquerading as a Democrat but he is a deadly killer, he is actually called the BUTCHER OF EAST AFRICA considering his antecedents and the number of people he has killed before / during the Genocide and now... Lastly, all the information above concerning how they killed Mr Bello and other big investors from Nigeria whose investment were taken over by Kagame is not in the news and the few Nigerians in Rwanda are not even aware of the news but I got all the information from the embassy, Abeg Rwanda no be am, go to Rwanda and invest at your own risk 5 Likes |
