Quite ironical, I ran away from Stanbic ibtc bank to uba because of their numerous and dubious charges.
Just last week I was charged 512 naira as account maintenance fee.

I discovered they debit my acc. for card maintenance twice every month so I went to complain at my branch, they said it was because they mistakenly hadn't stopped charging for my former debit card that had expired. They rectified it though so I suggest you go to your bank branch and make a complaint

Same issue and laid same complaint and everthing is fixed, no more double debits

Just within 4 days...alot of people came to the bank in my area complaining too...I advise everyone to withdraw the money they have with the bank for now.... They r making millions from this

this is the reason why I abandoned my ecobank account. now am facing it with UBA.

Not only UBA. Eco bank is the worst. They will debit your account without even telling you what the charges is for. The funniest part of it is that Eco bank will will give you interest of N17 and debit you N130.00 for only God knows what.

Believe me, UBA is worse! I got a debit alert on the 28th of December for card maintenance for the month of November.

Before then, I got one on the 25th of December for October maintenance. I am yet to get that of December and January.

Last year they debited my account thrice in a month, funny thing is I wasn't with an atm card that month talk more of using it. So what's the deduction for?!

So i wasn't the only one, i have received more than 10 debits for card maintenance and more than 8 for sms charges all in the month of December.. I don pack all ma little change bfre they finish it.

They've debited me more than 10 times in the past few days all in the name of card maintenance. UBA is really disappointing to me on this one as I hardly criticize them despite the general complains and flaws but this is really not making sense anymore.

They have also emptied my account. yesterday I quickly withdrew everything before they finish my money. multiple deductions. they have deducted for July two times now..

I was debited from far back August . And I can't call cos I would expend more money on the call than the 300naira I was debited for in total.

Mademoiselle , they're all the same. I have swished my funds across 3different banks and they would always find a way to rob me. I had to block my card in two other banks and cancel internet banking, yet I got debited in both access and GTB. Now I maintain zero balance in those two banks or I do sharp sharp transactions leaving zero kobo left. Let them debit themselves na, since the account now belongs to them.
At least if I am to be robbed, let me only be robbed by one bank

uba bank don put me for about 2k debt , since last week dem just dey deduct 52.50 naira X 2 from my account , i mail dem say dem dey collect the money for one month maintenance twice instead of once , dem say i dey operate 2 atm cards for my account , the thing weak me finish asin how dat one take possible . money wey my mum say make i help am keep for my account, i just tire , at times dey go say dem deduct 52.50 naira but if i check my account balance before and after the message the diff b/w my balance dey pass 180 naira deficit . i just weak

This is the same reason I'm scared of crediting my uba account. Anyway this new year na for me to close my uba account and open an account with stanbic ibtc. No time for nonsense

So na only card maintenance u guys experience?? How about sms charges of 190 naira?? I received like 5 of those in December.. Some dating back to march

UBA ke no money conscious persons bank with that bank. they are bunch of rogues. I banked with them back then in school they almost made me mad with their incessant withdrawals. then if I manage to get my uncle send me something before I even trekked to the bank UBA has dipped their hands in my cookies.
