You make money from ad views around 8 dollars per 1000 views.
with enough subscribers you can get your videos sponsored.
Or sign up to patreon and your subscribers can make donations to you but patreon gets to keep 10% (IKR? why does everyone want your 10%)

So it doesn't matter how many channels you are subscribed to what matters is how many people are subscribed to your channel.
