Ignitz Predictions: 10 Nigerian Artistes That Will Make Waves In 2018

Nigerian Artistes had an amazing 2017. From winning Global awards to International Collaborations. Based on the events that happened in 2017, here are our predictions for this year. Remember, you saw it here first!
2017 was the year for the sharks in the Nigerian Music Industry. Talk of Wizkid, Davido, Falz, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Phyno, Olamide and the rest of them but we really think 2018 will take a slightly different twist giving room to the B-list artistes to shine as well while the A-listers continue riding high.

Check out our 2018 predictions
1. Mayorkun will become a “banger”
With the back to back hit singles like ‘Mama’ that Mayorkun had us dancing to in 2017 + the turn out at the first edition of “The Mayor of Lagos” Concert, we really think 2018 is ‘his year’ to move up to the Top Notch list. He’ll be releasing his album in 2018 and the songs will be club bangers! That’s one artiste to watch out for.

please fellow Nigerian, all the money from Niger delta is used in building coaches for rail between abuja to kaduna, are they the only place to develop, is so pathetic, no single rail at the eastern-south south zone working, Buhari is busy commissioning new coaches adding to the one done by Goodluck, is Kaduna the only business viable state, not even as viable as Onitsha or Enugu or Port harcourt

The SE & SS should look beyond this president and find ways of collaboration to develop their region.

They should partner with foreign investors and build their rail ways and infrastructure. When a true national leader comes up in 2019 they can then hook up with the national railway network. For now any hope in this Buha is a waste of precious time.

The Atapke in Delta state to Lokoja construction/rehabilitation is ongoing where some coaches have already been order as regards the completion soon. Even though GEJ never initiated to advance stage any rail project in the south. Presently Lagos to Calabar and Portharcourt to Maiduguri is on final stage signoff for proper construction work

I know this would come across as petty and bigoted, but there is a deliberate ploy to focus development in the North, simple. Already, the Kano-Kaduna rail project is on to extend the Abuja-Kaduna route, while no single grain of sand has yet been lifted for the Lagos-Calabar rail that would cut across 8 states in three geopolitical zones. There are massive road constructions going on up north, while the south suffers-Zaria-Katsina, Kaduna-Kano, Kano-Maiduguri etc. Anywhere you find Buhari and El-Rufai together, know that ethno-religious machinations are been hatched.

At least he is doing good for his people, what did GEJ do for his own people? The East West road remains incomplete, Port Harcourt Airport is the worst in the world.

I am glad they bought new locomotives! It was needed as that route was running just two trains daily which was terribly inadequate.

Now this is my take...

Jonathan spent 4 years and completed this train line. He also completed the Abuja light rail to 68% completion as Buhari acknowledged in his new year day speech. He also went pretty far with the new airport terminals at the Abuja, Lagos and Enugu airports.

My question to you Buhari, which project will you hand over to the new government coming in in 2019 as it certain you are not coming back.
All the things you listed on new years day that you want to start doing, is it in 2018 election year that you will give out the contract or were you hoping that despite your terrible perfomamnce you would be voted back in 2019?

You budgeted a total of N4 trillion in 2016(N1.8T) and 2017(N2.2T) for capital projects. That is a whooping $13 billion. That money would have built us 2600km of rail lines at the price which Jonathan used in building the Abuja -Kaduna rail. It cost $875 million to build the rail line of 195km. That is an average of $4.48 million per km.

Or for better comparison, the Lekki Ikoyi link bridge was N29 billion. 4 Trillion Naira would have built 137 of such massive bridges.

But you know what, there isnt anywhere in the country where 100km of road have been completed since you came in. Where has all that money(N4 Trillion) gone to.
Be ready to stay with Buhari as your president till 2023 ok.

Beautiful analysis but you sound as if the entire N4trn allocated to capital projects for the years 2016 and 2017 were indeed released but not used for the purpose they were meant for. It's another argument entirely if we ask why wasn't the total sum released as at when due or that which was released, how well was/is it utilized.
