Multiple babies were born around the world on Monday, some of the first babies of 2018 [VIDEO]. Little Anastasia came into the world like something straight out of a movie. #Tiffany Von Glahn and Carl Alewine had just finished welcoming the #New Year at their South Carolina home when Tiffany went into labor, although little Anastasia wasn't due for another three and a half weeks, and her parents were not expecting her until later on.

“Not long after we got on the interstate, my water broke and little Anastasia was just ready to come out,” Tiffany said.

This caused the parents to worry about making it to the hospital, which was nearly an hour away.

The father-to-be started going at 90-95 miles per hour when a police officer came up behind them to pull them over. Carl Alewine couldn't pull over as he heard Tiffany scream that the baby was almost out. Due to the fact that Alewine didn't pull over when requested, additional officers joined the chase. The cops eventually boxed the couple’s car in, which forced Carl to finally pull over.
You won’t believe what happened next

The cops first put Carl in handcuffs before another police officer saw helpless Tiffany in labor. A courageous officer who had delivered a baby on-the-job stepped up and helped Tiffany deliver little Anastasia. In an interview with Us Magazine, Carl said, "It was a smooth delivery and they're both doing really fine."

The couple still can’t believe how little Anastasia was born into this world.

Fox News confirmed that both mother and child are doing fine despite the concerns about a complicated pregnancy. Little Anastasia was born healthy at 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Anastasia Alewine wasn’t the first baby born in South Carolina in 2018, but it’s doubtful that anyone made a more spectacular entrance into the world in the early morning hours on Monday. Now that’s a great way to start the New Year.

Both St. #Michael’s Hospital and Humber River Hospital claimed the first births of 2018 in Toronto with deliveries at exactly 12 a.m. on Jan. 1. Shiloh Dlamini was born at the stroke of midnight as colorful fireworks exploded outside St. Michael’s Hospital at Nathan Phillips Square in celebration of the new year. She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces at the time of her birth.

Another baby named Philip was also delivered at the stroke of midnight, through a C-section, and he weighed 4 pounds, 6 ounces at the time of his birth.
