Beware Of First Fruit Offering Scam This January by abby7: 5:38am On Jan 08, 2018 |
It is that time of the year again and many gullible Christians are getting ready to give their whole January Salary to a Man of God all in the name of First Fruit Offering. These Christians are not wise and they have stopped thinking. They give all their hard earned money to a Pastor that uses the Bible to manipulate them but they refuse to give their money to the poor. They think they will get rich by giving their money to Pastors but what happens is that the Pastors get richer while they get poorer. For the very tiny few that manage to get little breakthroughs, they sugar coat their testimonies after being interviewed by the Pastors and they give their testimonies by saying "After i paid my first fruit offering, i got this and this breakthrough". It is all lies and exageration in a bid to con unsuspecting victims. Several people who have been paying Tithes and First Fruit Offerings for years are yet to receive a breakthrough but the Pastors have their blessings already. they become richer and richer while the foolish flock become poorer and dry. Many Tithe payers and first fruit offering payers lost their Jobs during the recession. How do you explain this? If only Christians will pick up their Bibles and read, they will discover that these con men in suits are deceiving them. All they want is your money. God is not a beggar. He does not need our money. What he needs is our hearts. The poor need our money to survive so God has commanded us in the Scriptures to give to the Poor. Proverbs 28:27 says "He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack". Provers 19:17 also says "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again". From these scriptures, we can see the mind of God concerning giving to the Poor. God wants us to give lavishly to the Poor and not to these rich Pastors who are only using you to become richer. How can a Man of God ask a Family man to give him his whole January Salary? How does he expect him to survive? Who will feed his family or pay his Children's School fees? Wake up Church! This is a huge scam. These are fraudsters in suits trying to steal your money. Some Pastors are worse than common criminals who steal from you by pointing a gun to you. These Pastors steal from you by opening the Bible and twisting it to suit their greedy purpose. Let us look at the Scriptures in 1st Timothy 5:8. " But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel". That is the Word of God. If you choose to give your whole January Salary to a Man of God and your family goes hungry and uncatered for, the Bible says that you have denied the faith and you are worse than an infidel. Finally let me show you a Scripture that is against giving to the Rich. The Bible says that if you give to the rich, you will surely come to want. Most of these Pastors you give your money to are already rich. God is against your giving to them. Rather, he wants you to give to the Poor. Let us look at the scripture in Proverbs 22:16. It says "He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want". Christians, Start reading your Bible and dont let any Pastor steal your whole January Salary from you anymore. I will like to share with you a personal experience. Many years ago, i got a new Job. I then heard a message by a very popular Nigerian Pastor titled " The mystery of First Fruit Offering". After i heard the message, i decided to give the Church my whole first month salary as first fruit Offering. The moment i got my Salary i took the whole money to the Church and paid the money as my first fruit offering. I did not have transport money to go to work the following month because i had given the Church my whole first month salary. Thanks to my dear Mum who gave me transport money throughout the month. Little did i know that i had been deceived and there was no blessing coming. Two months later, i lost my Job. So you can see that there is really no blessing in first fruit offering. It is all lies and deceit in order to rob you of your hard earned money. |

coputa: I need a bit of clarity...is there anywhere in the Bible where First fruits is translated as First salary & wages? I'm not against giving to God's work..but doing such with no scriptural basis is an error. Thanks...I'm awaiting your response... |

First fruit is recognizing God as alpha . And giving him honor for it . People demonstrate it differently .First fruit it’s a demonstration of honor for God by individuals . firstfruit differs from people . It’s your personal conviction . Human conscience globally believes in the principle of First fruit . It can be first gain , First sale. First salary , First income. Some people take their first salary to their parents because they believe in sacredness of the first . But if anyone should receive First fruit it’s God . Every man should follows his faith . What is First Fruit to Okada rider. It can be the money from the First passenger , or the entire money for the first day , or the first week or the whole first month . It’s based on individual conviction . A sister graduated and she and her parents agreed she should work in church free for one year after her service before looking for a job that’s a form of First fruit that her first place of work or labour would be in the house of God . But the idea that pastor collects first fruits , or tithe etc is error . It’s a nairaland lie . A pastor is not the owner of church money . Most pastors are volunteers . Pastors are number one givers . A pastor gives tithes , offerings and First fruits To God like every other person . There is no special bible for pastors . He is First a christian . He practices the word as example . 2 Likes |

OkCornel:If you are not against giving to propagate the gospel, why are you discouraging those that are giving through cash and kind, whatever name you call it,be it first fruit, sowingseed, tithing, etc.they are all done to support God's work.If the pastor likes let him build houses and buy jet with it,it doesn't matter,in so far,you are rewarded by the almighty God.. Sometimes,I use to wonder why you and your master-Daddy freezer sees nothing wrong with people spending their money on stuffs like alcoholism, prostitution, drugs and things that promotes social upheaval, not to mention our leaders, whose corrupt activities has impoverished the people. These are the set of people you should be concerned about and not the pastors. |

coputa: I'm very much concerned against those twisting the scriptures to deceive people into giving what they are not mandated to give in the first place! Where in the bible did God instruct tithes or first fruits to given in form of money? Should the clear instructions of God be substituted for the deceitful doctrines of men? |

petra1: Per the bolded, is this what God described as first fruit in the Bible? OR are you adding to God's word to make this a principle for others to follow? God's instruction vs doctrines of men! |

petra1: FIRST FRUITS IN JUDAISM AS GOD DESIGNED IT TO BE https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Fruits Hebrew perspective Main article: Bikkurim (First-fruits) In Ancient Israel, First Fruits was a type of offering that was akin to, but distinct from, terumah gedolah. While terumah gedolah was an agricultural tithe, the First-fruits, discussed in the Bikkurim tractate of the Talmud, were a sacrificial gift brought up to the altar (Bikkurim 3:12). The major obligation to bring First Fruits (henceforth: Bikkurim) to the Temple began at the festival of Shavuot and continued until the festival of Sukkot (Bikkurim 1:6). This tithe was limited to the traditional seven agricultural products (wheat, barley, grapes in the form of wine, figs, pomegranates, olives in the form of oil, and dates) grown in Israel. This tithe, and the associated festival of Shavuot, is legislated by the Torah. Textual critics speculate that these regulations were imposed long after the offerings and festival had developed. By the time of classical antiquity, extensive regulations regarding Bikkurim were recorded in the classical rabbinical literature. According to Jewish law, the corners of fields, wild areas, left-overs after harvesting (gleanings), and unowned crops were not subjected to (and could not be used as) the tithe of First Fruits (they were intended to be left as charity for the poor, and other mendicants); plants from outside Israel were also prohibited from inclusion in the tithe, as was anything belonging to non-Jews.[ The rules also specify that each type of product had to be individually tithed, even if the numbers were balanced so that there was no difference in amount between this situation and using just some types of First Fruit as the tithe, and retaining others in their entirety. Fruit which was allocated to the tithe could not be swapped for fruit which wasn't, to the extent that wine couldn't be swapped for vinegar, and olive oil couldn't be replaced by olives; furthermore, fruits were not allowed to be individually divided if only part went to the tithe (small whole pomegranates had to be used rather than sections from a large pomegranate, for example). The separation of tithed produce from untithed produce was also subject to regulation. The individual(s) separating one from the other had to be ritually clean, and had to include the best produce in the tithe if a kohen (priest) lived nearby. During the act of separation, the produce was not permitted to be counted out to determine which fell under the tithe, nor to be weighed for that purpose, nor to be measured for the same reason, but instead the proportion that was to become the tithe had to be guessed at. In certain situations, such as when tithed produce became mixed with non-tithed produce (or there was uncertainty as to whether it had), the tithed produce had to be destroyed.Anyone who made mistakes in the separation of tithed produce, and anyone who consumed any of the tithe, was required to pay compensation as a guilt offering. The pilgrims that brought the Bikkurim to the Temple were obligated to recite a declaration, also known as the Avowal, set forth in Deuteronomy 26:3-10 (cf. Mishnah, Bikkurim 3:6). Native-born Israelites and proselytes would bring the Bikkurim and would say the Avowal, but women who brought the Bikkurim were not permitted to say the Avowal, since they were unable to claim inheritance in the Land bequeathed unto the tribes by their male lineage.[a] This Avowal was incorporated into a beautiful and grand festive celebration with a procession of pilgrims marching up to Jerusalem and then the Temple with gold, silver or willow baskets to which live birds were tied. (Bikkurim 3:3,5 and . The pilgrims were led by flutists to the city of Jerusalem where they were greeted by dignitaries (Bikkurim 3:3). The procession would then resume with the flutist in lead until the Temple Mount where the Levites would break out in song (Bikkurim 3:4). The birds were given as sacrificial offerings and the declaration would be made before a priest while the basket was still on the pilgrim's shoulder (Bikkurim 3:5-6). After the basket was presented to the priest, it was placed by the Altar and the pilgrim would bow and leave (Bikkurim 3:6). I'M STILL WONDERING HOW FIRST FRUITS HAS TRANSFORMED INTO FIRST WAGES & SALARIES WITHOUT ANY CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS FROM GOD IN THE SCRIPTURES TO THE CONTRARY! Give unto God and man, but please beware of false teachers twisting the truth (facts) on ground with a little error or lies to suit their selfish interests |
