its gastroschisis.. u can't Miss d diagnosis. omphalocele usually has a membrane covering it..so dis one is not an omphalocele, except its a ruptured omphalocele which isn't likely as they said its been like this since birth.. peace

I was trained to never make have a diagnosis before having all the facts. I agree it could actually be gastroschisis, more likely do than otherwise. But, the picture alone doesn't rule out a ruptured omphalocele

I doubt. Look 1st picture u will see sth like a transparent membrane on the intestine. Gastroschisis does not have membrane cover. Also if it's gastroschisis, the viscera u see will be inflamed and discoloureddue to contact with amniotic fluid.Looks like a ruptured omphalocoele
