GalaxyBackbone Limited is a company whose equity capital is fully funded by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The company is under the Ministry of Communication headed by Barr Adebayo Shittu.

The company provides digital products and services primarily for the public sector and also for private institutions.

In a recent photo, GalaxyBackbone limited showcased it Gadget used for video conferencing. The gadget is manufactured by Huawei. It allows directors and other top level managers carry out meetings without living their office.

Recently, GalaxyBackbone limited has made a collaboration with China Great Wall to manufacture two Backbone satellite for Nigeria. China Exim Bank and China Great Wall agreed to create this gigantic satellite without charge. In such case, the Chinese companies will have a stake on the assets after launch.
