I saw it when it started.. Nobody made attempt to stop the fire. People stood there watching it.. I have never seen such in my life no vehicle owner brought out their fire extinguisher to help.

You are right, but electrical wiring problem can contribute to this. I had a nasty experience on electrical wiring problem on my car, thank God it did not lead to a complete fire outbreak.

Nigerians keep fire extinguishers in their cars simply because they don't want FRSC's wahala and not as a fire fighting tool in event of a fire. Same way seat belts are used so as to avoid being arrested by FRSC.

Most of the extinguishers are not serviceable .

Funny enough, the car was static and the engine was not running (at least that was what they said at the scene because by the time I got there, the fire had already started and people around were trying to stop it)
