If you have a website or want to have one, you should buy the domain name and hosting yourself , except if you are dealing with a company which is not liable to die young! A domain name is a name used to identify your website online, e.g www.facebook.com while hosting is a 'store' on a server or other computer so that it can be accessed over the Internet. It's just a piece of land on the world wide web. You pay for the name annually and the hosting monthly (mostly billed annually)! You should buy the domain name and hosting yourself. This is simply because your developer might die before you, and may give you many challenges to renew your domain name/hosting or gain administrative privileges. you don't want to start all over again. But if you die, no problem. You don't need a website in your grave, do you? Though I pray you won't die soon, but you 'sha' will die someday. Mind you however that it's best to talk to your developer before buying hosting/domain name. He's in the best position to know which is best for his development and your business. You may also ask him if he has a referral link to help his ministry. With a referral link, he earns a commission without you losing anything. Finally, if you are too busy to buy hosting/domain yourself, ask your trusted developer to buy them in your name and use your contact details, including email. He should then send you the login details after registration. With this, you are on top of the matter. https://reboundmedia.com.ng Pass across to educate the public |
