misgab: who's feeding U with its bullshit? We Northerners are the most liberal and peaceful people. Come to Kano, specifically in a Town called Kura, Their Imam is a man from Edo state...or are u telling me they're not Hausas there? I was reliably informed that the person who leads juma for them in a mosque in Funtua is a Yoruba man...and I know they're thousand examples like that...please change ur mentality bout the North. While I agree that what's happening in this areas you've mentioned is unfortunate, I believe that everyone responsible should be brought to book, be it Fulani, Birom or Tiv! |

Guyman02: Bro, there's nothing called middle belt. The so-called "middle belt" comprises of 6 states to wit: Plateau, Benue, Kogi, Nassarawa, Niger and Kwara States. The middle belt idea is strong in the first two states probably because of the preponderance of their Christian population. With respect to Kogi, circumstances has tied them to the North. Nassarawa is a Northern State in all fores. The leadership of this state (Lafia, Keffi, Nassarawa ) is inextricably tied to the legacy of Shehu. Niger and Kwara belongs to the North in blood, water and spirit from now till eternity. All this issues are temporary, we'll find a way to go about it. But I assure u, most of these alleged attacks aint true. The Fulbe by nature are peaceful and easy going. It's the absence of strong leadership from the part of the gov't that's causing all this mess but we'll pass it, God willing! |

TundeHashim: May God punish that one north one people one destiny agenda. Nonsense! Hausa fulanis have declared war on the middlebelt and you are talking about one north? Madness. It's not people like you who I blame, but the leaders of the middlebelt who sold the heritage and identity of the millions of middlebelt people. Shebi now, after much bloodshed, they are beginning to realize their mistake? 2 Likes |

Dude, what has Unongo's change of mind got to do with Zik? Who told you Igbos generally "dislike" Yorubas? Has any Igboman maltreated you to death? Don't they go about their businesses and hope for a better integrated and structured country? Would they live harmoniously with others if they had hate in their hearts, unlike others? Free your mind, bro. Deep down, nobody hates anybody in Nigeria. It's the poverty, frustration, and mis-education that's making it seem so. Glaringly, your drivel is deeply rooted in bigotry. If orchestrating the non-election of Zik through the Western House to represent Lagos at the Federal Legislature, making him maneuver through the Eastern House, is what you call "putting Zik in his place", then you have plainly spoken the reason for Nigeria's present shitty situation and kicked the sleeping dog. So, you think Awo put anyone "in their place"? Olorun ma je!!! Not even with his tribal-biased AG politics, that finally saw him put IN HIS PLACE at the Calabar prison for treason, could he muster some political clout while he existed. Not even his collusion with his puppet masters after the CW to financially marginalize the Igbos or Easterners, while he was Finance Commissioner, put Igbos "in their place." Ogbeni, let me disabuse your mind: Zik, was as a true and fearless nationalist, who endangered himself for a Nigeria where enfranchisement, egalitarianism, and constitutionality, not ethnicity or favoritism, were the sine qua non for NATIONHOOD. That's why Zik left the ethnically compromised NYM after his nominee, Samuel Akinsanya, an Ijebu, was denied the Legislative Council seat. Zik forged meaningful national alliances, such as working under and together with Herbert Olayinka Macaulay, a Lagosian, to form the NCNC. They fought tooth and nail with others like F. Ransome-Kuti, Z. Dipcharima, A. Olorunimbe, N. Essien, etc, to forestall the machinations of the colonial master to make Nigeria's legislature a mainly nominative one (Richard's Constitution), as opposed to a more elective assembly (Macpherson's). But, as tribalism would have it, the AGs engendered the distrust and political rancor that we still bear till date. Alariiwo: |
