Following the recent promotion of officers and men of the Nigeria Immigration Service, a formal decoration of affected officers from the rank of Comptrollers to Asst Comptrollers General took place today at the Service headquarters, Suaka Village Abuja. The grand and colourful ceremony started with rehearsals yesterday, the 23rd of Jan 2018.
A circular signed by the Deputy Comptroller General (HRM), Y.D. INUSA, on behalf of the CGIS, says that the ceremony will be rounded off with a two days induction of the new Immigration big bosses.
Earlier, in a brief speech, the Comptroller-general of Immigration Service, Mr Muhammad Babandede MFR had congratulated the newly promoted officers and reminded them that their promotion is the Government's appreciation of their dedication to duty and charged them to put extra effort to duty because 'to whom much is given, much is expected'.
It should be recalled that the Service over the weekend, promoted several hundreds of it's officers and men.
