Kano traders have the right to vote. of course, they will vote and Nigeria will vote and we shall see who wins. No 2million votes from kano can save buhari . Middle belt is not for buhari, south west is not for him, south south is not for buhari, and south east is not for buhari. Tell me where useless endorsement can save him.

Part of the reasons one laughs at fools down south who think they would easily unseat Buhari from folks who had been voting for him consistently one way since 2003 - and would all of a sudden, not vote for him in 2019. undecided

Y'all saw 'change' as 'change' while they, as the political astute ones attuned to how Nigerian federal politics is played, saw 'change' as 'power grab from the south to the north, four yours ahead schedule'.

Because of that miscalculation by the political naiveté of the south, the north would most likely that not, be at helm of the country from 2015 to 2023 at the earliest - or 2027 at the latest - except something out of the ordinary occurs.

Ditto what happened in the battle for Speaker in 2011 (where SW politicians sabotaged one of their own) and 2015 (where SE and SS politicians returned the favour from the fallout of the presidential elections).

The south is politically divided - and that is to the advantage of the north.

SE and SS will deliver block votes as usual.
SW will be 50:50 as usual.
NE and NW will deliver block votes as usual.

The real game changer is the middle-belt. Whoever wins there will become president next May.

thanks for this analysis.this is the only realistic projection i have read.

@bolded
what is the difference btw the voting pattern of the southwest and middle-belt in the last election grin

During the election of Jonathan in 2011, can you provide any evidence of southwest 50:50 percent vote

Most of you people don't understand what good luck Jonathan did to southwest vote in the last election, do you?

I guess you will have to wait to find out the 50:50 imaginary votes this time around grin

Jonathan got 2.6m votes in southwest in 2011, Buhari got 300 thousand plus cheesy

So much for 50:50

learn Nigerian election history, they won't Instead they will be writing wrong information on online forums for likes grin

The votes from NE/NW will be too massive this time around. The sharing from SW and the migre votes from SE/SS will be of no effect.

Agree with you PMB gave a gap of 600,000 votes. With Ambode, Fashola, Tinubu and federal might, I believe it will even be more.

Some comments about Obj and what he represents puzzles any right thinking person. Talking about demystifying the man is simply balderdash. Any keen observer of the man Obj should know that his actions are not those of a man that is afraid to fail, but that of a man who can't sit idly by without trying. The failure to act is true failure.

Bottom line, The voting power in Sw is rather going one way or the other this time around.

In addition, you need to understand southwest had the lowest voters turn out of all the region of Nigeria in the last election for tactical reasons. Get ready for a different outcome in 2019
