The alumni association of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Oto-Ijanikin, Lagos state has described the planned reintroduction of the Teaching Service Commission ( TESCOM) has long overdue.

The alumni association in a statement signed by its national public relations officer, Opeyemi Eniola gave kudos to the Lagos state house of Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa for its prompt response to issues that affects humanity and most especially the innovations in the education sector.

The statement reads:

"Lagos state is working not because the arms of government doesn't have their challenges but they defy the challenges to ensure that the people gets the best of governance.

"The Lagos state house of assembly has displayed its readiness to work with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on prompt delivery, steps taken towards the reintroduction of the Lagos state teaching Service Commission is a testimony of the many innovations.

"We in the sector and the teachers in training are not just happy over this innovation, if the bill is passed and implemented, it will not just bring orderliness in the education sector of the state, it will also reduce the high rate of unemployment.

"We are proud of our alumnus, Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi, the chairman house committee on Education for the evolution he brought with other members of the committee, with them Education in Lagos state can only get better.


"The alumni association president, Prince Shina Akintolure and the rest of the alumni association will be on a visit to the house of assembly to contribute our quota as teachers and appreciate the good work of the lawmakers, Eniola stated.

The alumni spokesman went further to urge the state government to extend their consultation to every notable stakeholder in the state.
