The Envoy By Mantis Set To Bring Class To Nigeria’s Hospitality Industry by DebbyJose: 10:58pm On Jan 26, 2018 |
A new hospitality outfit is set to change the game in the industry as The Envoy Hotel By Mantis Abuja opens its door to guests in the heart of Abuja on Monday, March 5, 2018. Being the first of its kind in Nigeria, The Envoy is conceived to meet the leisure and business needs of members of the diplomatic community, expatriates and other travelers to Abuja with an assurance of an exclusive, conducive and secure business/commercial environment to meet and do business. The boutique hotel of 59 rooms but with 5-star service and bespoke up-market facilities is nestled on the exclusive and quiet Diplomatic Drive that is home to foreign embassies in the Central Business District of the city. The hotel is set to open for business from March 5th and will certainly be home to diplomatic corps, politicians, applicants for travel visas, elites and businessmen that value leisure in a safe, secure and affluent environment. The Security of the hotel and the safety of its guests are assured by the Level 2 Global Lighthouse Security certification which attested to its high-security concept that was taken into consideration from its design and construction stages. Keletso Nxumalo, General Manager, The Envoy; explained that “a Global Certification company in Hotel Security was brought in at construction level to advise pointers regarding security issues, and these were taken into consideration when the Hotel was constructed. It is a multi-layer security system put in place to attract very sophisticated travelers. The Envoy is the first hotel in Nigeria to achieve this level of certification”, she asserted The concept includes a highly integrated security system with CCTV and intruder alarm features for the fences, baggage scanners, walk through metal detectors, automatic pop-up bollards for the gate, and security-enhanced doors with shatter-proof windows on all front ground floors together with an electric fence that envelopes the hotel. “We are currently in the process of modifying some security aspects to enable the facility achieve Level 4 certification” noted Keletso, who said the management would do everything to secure the hotel and its guests. “Chinwe Odife, Development Director, Hometel Developers Limited said, “one of the most intriguing and thrilling aspects of The Envoy is the transformation of the original idea (concept) into reality with a less than 5% deviation in arriving at the final product, a rare feat in the construction and hospitality industry in Nigeria. This involves a painstaking process of translating the desires of the design team to the realities of construction in Nigeria as we know it today. We are proud to have been able achieve this with The Envoy. According to her, the success of the opening of The Envoy is rooted in proper professional and specialized planning, budgeting and implementation to ensure an owner is able to realize their required return on investment with the developed property. “The hotel is stylish, modern, exclusive and comfortable with top-of-the-line amenities and impeccable service to give the guests reasons to come back”. Emile Muller, Director Mantis Collection, the operator of The Envoy Abuja said the hotel would soon be the best that Nigerians have ever seen in terms of aesthetics and service delivery that is typical of Mantis across the world. “The Envoy Abuja represents one of the finest examples of Mantis culture, gastronomy, architecture and coupled with the nature of its location which offers guests a truly authentic experience”.
