– The airline said its passengers who were scheduled to come to Lagos on the service were therefore denied boarding

– An industry expert, however, urged the government to adopt a reciprocity style

Nigeria’s major carrier, Medview Airline has blamed Gatwick Airport limited (Gatwick) for it failure to airlift its Lagos-London passengers on Friday, January 26.

The airline maintained that its failure to airlift the passengers was as a result of the suspension of service of its handling company at Gatwick airport.

The airline said that it suspected sabotage by the handling company and concerned authorities at Gatwick who without proper notification suspended the service of the Nigerian carrier.

In a statement signed by the executive director, business development and commercial, Medview Airline, Isiaq Na-Allah, the operator said after the departure of its flight from Lagos to London on Wednesday, January 24, the airline was informed, although informally, that its handling company will not be providing services to its aircraft.
