The compound of Miki-Miki in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River was razed down last night by a fire outbreak, burning everything inside the house.

The affected properties many said worth millions of Naira was completely burnt down, leaving no traceable pin behind when the incident occurred, there was no Fire Service, neither was there running water from the State Water Board to quench the fire.

While the inferno lasted, residents who came to help, could not get water from the borehole a little distance from the burning compound.

The owner of the borehole reportedly told them that there is no fuel in his generator and hence, cannot pump water.

This is the third time cases of fire incidence has been reported in the state the past 3 months,
and the second in January, 2018. The others were Watt and Marian Market in Calabar, the state capital.
