A UEFA rule is set to affect Arsenal star Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the Europa League this season. The rule will prevent him from wearing the number 7 jersey. The rule states that clubs can not register more than one player with the same shirt number for a European competition in a season.

The former Manchester United midfielder took the number from Alexis Sanchez, after arriving at the Emirates Stadium in a swap deal, with the Chilean also taking the number 7 shirt on his arrival at Old Trafford.
