FACT FOR THE DAY
Nigeria consumes N1.2 trillion worth of chicken every year, with local production contributing over N220 billion. While according to the former minister of agriculture, Mr. Akinwumi Adesina, as at 2014, Nigeria consumed over 360,000 tonnes of beef very year, projected to rise up to 1.5 million tons by 2050. Lagos alone currently consumes more than 8,000 cattle daily valued at about N1.6 billion
